5 October 2003Detective Lilly is asked to investigate the murder of a fireman's first wife, who was going to testify against the man that exposed himself to her. One week before his trial, inside her detergent box of "Gleen" was planted a bomb that went off in her face. She was alive for 16 minutes after it went off and then died on her backyard patio. She is found by her young daughter at home at the time of the explosion. Her fireman husband has since remarried and he seems like a devoted husband to family, respected in the community, and revered as a hero at the fire station. But the daughter, set to marry is still very much haunted by the memories of her mother's. Marvelous sets recreates the time.

19 October 2003The Alzheimer's inflicted widow of a slain church organist begins having flashbacks about her husband's murder, leading Lilly to reopen the case. She is disheveled and babbling wandering the streets. Once returned home it is discovered that years ago her husband, the victim, Mitchell Baye, was found stabbed, left in an alley in a seedy part of town, surrounded by pornography and crack vials. Mitchell's widow, Charlotte Baye, remembers that she was suspicious that he was cheating on her with a fellow church member. Charlotte's son, Ryan, who is also her keeper, asks Lilly to close the investigation, and Charlotte's estranged daughter, Tina, who hasn't seen Ryan who she was so close to in years, also wishes to keep the case closed.

(A sign of the times.) The Debutante is dead from a fall at the base of a staircase as her name was announced.

Her love for him is to motivate her to assist them with key knowledge they need for the bank safe. On the day of the robbery, with a change of mind, she pushes the silent alarm which is seen by her lover, sealing her fate. When the same bank is robbed by similarly masked gunman again, it looks like the bank was struck twice by the same robbers, though years apart. The team is convinced there must have been an 'inside man'.

Violet is bludgeoned to death within minutes outside the Bartleby's mansion and hidden in the bushes. No one was prosecuted. Also there at that time was a pretty theatrical lover of Nick's who had come around to being more cordial to Violet. Hearing the baby Rose's cries she rushed outside, seeing no one, snatched her and raised her.

Two months later, right before Joseph is to testify against Corey, Joseph is found to have been killed at home by a shotgun blast through his door. The obvious suspect, Corey, was in jail at the time of the murder, so the detectives work to solve the open case, which involves good intentions, poor choices, and entanglements for Lilly.

Also investigated are two babysitters.
22 October 2006A married couple were gunned down in their car during their weekly run for a take-out but their young autistic son riding in the back seat is spared. The parents also left behind a teenage daughter. The couple were owners of a local tropical fish store, there didn't seem to be any motive. As the only witness, their autistic son's ability to remember events with numerical sequence was always the same regarding his parents. Detective Valens showed a compassion and patience to learn to communicate with the autistic son's abilities that brought forth the clues to unravel this baffling case.
