The brief film footage of Harry Jay Knowles holding the original 1933 King Kong in his trembling hands was actually shot by LOTR Director Peter Jackson using Harry's "Spy" camera. The film shots of Harry talking with Willem Dafoe were made in part by AICN's evil professor Moriarty. The footage shot on the LOTR set of the last shot of principle filming for the entire trilogy - a scene from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) - was made in December 2000 by Harry with a "micro" digital camera he hid in his shirt.
