Nintendo announced its Winter 2010 release lineups today for the Wii and DS, and the list predictably confirmed dates for games like "No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle" and "Mega Man 10," but it also attached dates to "WarioWare D.I.Y." games for both systems. Check out the complete rundown, which includes both "Alice and Wonderland" and "Zombie Panic in Wonderland" titles, after the jump.
The DS "WarioWare D.I.Y." and Wii "WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase" games will work in tandem, allowing players to create their own "WarioWare" games and then upload them for play on the Wii, which should be a fascinating process to watch once they both get demo'd.
As far as third-party developers go, Ubisoft looks to be hitting the ground running on the Wii in 2010, with "No More Heroes 2" and "Red Steel 2" both hitting in Q1. That's in addition to two other games -- "Sleepover Party" and "Racquet Sports. »

The Dogg is back. That's right, rapper Snoop Dogg is returning to One Life to Live on February 24... and you know what? I'm excited about it. Believe it or not, but when it comes to musicians dropping into a daytime soap, Snoop's was one of the best. You do know that singers often are written into a soap for a song and scene or two, don't you? Well, they do. Oftentimes, however, it's just awkward and unreal.
One Life to Live, on the other hand, does it really well. The last time Snoop was there, back in May, he did a couple of songs and interacted with the cast. The writers made it that Snoop had a past history with Bo, so they could get into it a bit in a funny way. When Snoop returns in February, he and Bo wil mix it up again. The Dogg will also »

It's hard for me to get excited about something like Alice, Syfy's twisted new take on Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. NBC and Syfy seemingly produce these modern versions of classic tales for the same reason Hollywood studios push out stale remakes and sequels - because they already have a built in audience. And the producers don't have to worry about coming up with an original story. All they have to do is force some contempo quirkiness into the age-old text and be done with it. (Make the flamingos flying machines! Turn the caterpillar into a hookah-smoking Harry Dean Stanton!)
Similar to Syfy's Tin Man, its dark and tedious Wizard of Oz redo, Alice offers a bizarre retread of its classic source material. But writer-director Nick Willing (the brains behind Tin Man) smartly sets his tale in a futuristic version of Lewis Carroll's Wonderland. And he's created a brand new Alice too. »

The producers of Tin Man, Syfy's dark and splashy spin on The Wizard of Oz, are back with Alice, a twisted take on Lewis Carroll's classic Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. In a conference call with reporters, Alice director Nick Willing and star Caterina Scorsone talked flying flamingos, Tweedledee and Tweedledum's torture tactics, and what Wonderland would look like 150 years after Alice's original adventure.
We'll have an advance review of Alice next week, but for now you can head after the jump for an inside look at the miniseries, premiering December 6 on Syfy. Spoilers follow.

The singer – who is divorcing estranged husband Deryck Whibley – has been seen out several times with American actor Wilmer Valderrama and the pair have apparently been getting very close. Over the weekend, Avril, 25, and 29-year-old Wilmer were spotted at Los Angeles club Wonderland getting cosy. An onlooker is quoted by Us gossip blogger Perez Hilton as saying: “She had her hand on his knee and they were whispering in each other's ear, laughing. They even closed the club, sneaking out just after 2am.” Since splitting from Sum 41 rocker Deryck in September, Avril has also been romantically linked to oil heir Brandon Davis - who has also dated Lindsay and Paris Hilton. As well as Lindsay, Wilmer has previously been in relationships with Mandy Moore and Hilary Duff. Avril filed for divorce at a Los Angeles court last month citing "irreconcilable differences". She is asking for a ruling to block »

A brand new trailer has been released online for Leaves Of Grass, the pot comedy thriller starring Edward Norton.
The official plot synopsis goes something like this: Norton plays Bill Kincaid, an Ivy League classics professor who returns to rural Oklahoma to bury his dangerously brilliant identical twin brother, only to discover that the brother he believes to have been murdered has lured him home to involve him in a doomed plot against a local drug lord. Before Bill can flee, he's implicated in a murder and his life becomes completely unravelled.
Those savvy among you will have noted the key word in the description is "identical" - yes that's right, Norton will be putting his acting skills to full use by playing dual roles, starring as both brothers. Cue lots of split scenes and classic comedy set-ups.
The film is written and directed by Tim Blake Nelson, who you »
