After the subway scene in the beginning of the movie she goes to Jugan-ji Temple located in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo.When she travels to Kyoto in the Shinkansen bullet train and observes a traditional Japanese wedding she is in Nanzenji Temple and then when she is tying a white piece of paper on the tree and then keeps walking she is in Heian Shrine.
The movie was shot in the Park Hyatt Tokyo. Charlotte's room was a Diplomat Suite.
