Following the news that ABC will not be ordering additional episode of freshman drama Eastwick, costar Lindsay Price (pictured) has been named a suspected show killer. Though undeniably adorable, the actress has a long rap sheet of failed TV shows that also includes NBC's Lipstick Jungle, Pepper Dennis, and Coupling.
Which other actors are on TV's Most Wanted (and Least Lucky) List? Our top offenders:
• Jason Gedrick: Truly impressive versatility in terms of the number of networks he's failed on. Victims include: Fox's Class of '96; CBS' Sweet Justice, Ez Streets, and Falcone; ABC's Murder One and The Beast; and NBC's Boomtown and Windfall.

Chicago – Timothy Olyphant, star of HBO’s “Deadwood” and FX’s “Damages,” and films including “Go,” “A Perfect Getaway,” “Hitman,” “Catch and Release,” and many more, returns to television early next year in FX’s latest original series, “Lawman,” from creator Graham Yost (“Boomtown”) and based on a character created by Elmore Leonard (“Get Shorty,” “Out of Sight”).
The official synopsis from FX:
“Olyphant stars in the lead role of Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens. Givens is a modern day 19th century-style lawman, enforcing his brand of justice in a way that puts a target on his back with criminals and places him at odds with his bosses in the Marshal service. That conflict results in a reassignment for Givens to the U.S. District covering the town where he grew up. He is an anachronism – a tough, soft spoken gentleman who finds his quarry fascinating, but never gives an inch.

Lawman, the upcoming FX drama series starring Timothy Olyphant (Deadwood, Damages), has already been dubbed possibly one of the best shows of 2010 by EW's Ken Tucker. And after seeing the scene below, we're on board. Olyphant plays U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, described by FX as "a modern day 19th century-style lawman, enforcing his brand of justice in a way that puts a target on his back with criminals and places him at odds with his bosses in the Marshal service." He ends up reassigned to the district that includes his rural Kentucky hometown. The network ordered 13 episodes of the show, which will be exec produced by Boomtown's Graham Yost, Kidnapped's Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly, Karen Sisco's Michael Dinner, and Elmore Leonard, who created the character in his short story Fire in the Hole.
For me, Olyphant is at his best when he's playing a soft-spoken character,

Seven years after an African-American president was introduced on Fox's 24, the show's returning Counter Terrorist Unit gets its first African-American chief with the addition of Mykelti Williamson to the cast.
The actor will play Brian Hastings, the head of CTU New York and a man of razor-sharp intellect, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Williamson recently co-starred in the Sundance hit Black Dynamite. His series credits include Boomtown and CSI: NY. His breakout role came in 1994 as Private Benjamin Buford "Bubba" Blue in the Oscar-winning film Forrest Gump, but the actor can trace his television roots all the way back to a 1978 episode of Starsky & Hutch, "Black and Blue". Williamson also appeared in the 1984 pilot for Miami Vice.
Last Friday we reported that Freddie Prinze Jr had joined the cast as Davis Cole, a recently returned Marine who runs CTU Field Ops and wants to follow in Jack Bauer's (Kiefer Sutherland) footsteps.

Tom Hanks to Star in Major Matt Mason Movie?

Looks like Tom Hanks is going to be putting on a space suit again for the first time since Ron Howard's 1995 film Apollo 13. The difference this time around is that the movie won't be based on a true story, but rather, a Mattel toy line from the 1960s! According to Variety [1], Hanks is attached to star in a live action movie based on the Major Matt Mason toys, featuring a team of astronauts who work on the moon and live in a space station.
Universal Pictures have hired Graham Yost (Speed, Broken Arrow, Boomtown) to write the script. In addition to his action movie experience, Yost has also written episodes of From the Earth to the Moon, the Tom Hanks-produced HBO series about the Apollo space missions, and also the 2000 Brian De Palma film Mission to Mars. I'm not sure I understand this current wave of movies

Universal Eyes Another Toy Adaptation with Tom Hanks On Board

I have never heard of the Mattel action figure "Major Matt Mason," but I guess that's because it originated 11 years before I was born, but apparently it is ripe for a feature film adaptation as Universal is set to bring the vintage action figure to life as a star vehicle for Tom Hanks with Graham Yost aboard to write the script.
The Variety story announcing the project says the toy line originated in 1966; Mason led an astronaut team that worked on the moon and lived in a space station. The toy was a hit in the buildup to the first manned moon mission. Mattel retired the line in the 1970s.
The film will be produced through Hanks' production house Playtone and word is when Mattel execs Tim Kilpin and Barry Waldo came to Playtone for a meeting, they brought an arsenal of the Matt Mason figures and Hanks came armed with his own.
