Continuing to show improvements, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has displayed a surprising focus as he competes for the "Dancing with the Stars" crown.
Crediting his willingness to give up partying - as "The Situation" canceled a Vegas hosting gig in lieu of dance practice - a Life and Style source tells, "He hasn't been partying at all because of the show. He knows he needs to rehearse for hours and does want to do well. The other day, they rehearsed from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m... after he finished a five hour photoshoot."
Another Life & Style insider adds, "He would rather bail on an appearance than do poorly on TV again."
Making it easier to not get distracted, Situation's dance partner Karina Smirnoff is currently in a relationship and has made it clear that no romance is going to happen.

The Miley Cyrus archives continue to yield previously unearthed musical gold. Following the leak of the unreleased Cyrus track "Giving You Up" earlier this month, yet more vintage Miley emerged on the internet on Tuesday, in the form of the song "See You in Another Life." Though more upbeat than "Giving You Up," it's believed that "Another Life," like its predecessor, was intended for Cyrus' 2008 album Breakout but failed to make the cut. Do you think it was a wise decision to leave the song off the album? Give "See You In Another Life" a listen below and share your thoughts in...

Chicago – A Blu-ray review of the controversial final season of “Lost” is not the place to get into arguments over the quality of the actual finale, so I’ll get my opinion out of the way quickly and then we can discuss the Blu-ray release more than the ending specifically — the final season of “Lost” is arguably the best final season of any program ever and the last episode is the perfect bookend for a show too ambitious to be truly influential. I promise to get into that more in coverage of the upcoming Emmys and in “Best of the Year” features in a few months. For now, let’s move on to the best TV Blu-ray of the season, even if you disagree with my opinion of the quality of the finale or the overall show.

I vowed I would never become a Twit. Now I have Tweeted nearly 10,000 Tweets. I said Twitter represented the end of civilization. It now represents a part of the civilization I live in. I said it was impossible to think of great writing in terms of 140 characters. I have been humbled by a mother of three in New Delhi. I said I feared I would become addicted. I was correct.
Twitter is now a part of my daystream. I check in first thing every morning, and return at least once an hour until bedtime. I'm offline, of course, during movies, and don't even usually take my iPhone. The only tweeting I've done with mobile devices was when our internet went down one day, and when my laptop was lost in Cannes. But you can be sure that before I write the next three paragraphs I will tweet something.
