Sachin Tendulkar is rumoured to have secured a role in a Bollywood film. The cricket player is reported to be part of Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Ferrari Ki Sawari.
Although no official confirmation has been given on Tendulkar's entry into Bollywood, the star gave a hint to fans on his Twitter page.
"Vinod Chopra has a script called Ferrari Ki Sawari. Just heard it. Sounds awesome," said the sporting star.
The project, directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, is also rumoured to feature Boman Irani and Sharman Joshi in lead roles. Not surprisingly, the plot of Tendulkar's debut is all about cricket. Although cricket themed films have often underperformed in the past, the trend appears to be changing after the success of Jannat, last year's 99, and the high expectations around Nikhil Advani's Patiala House.
Tendulkar has already acted in a number of television adverts in his role as brand ambassador for a range of companies.
