- Originally broadcast as an episode of "Climax!" (1954). Most prints retain the original Climax opening credits. The DVD release (as a bonus on the DVD for Casino Royale (1967) has added the MGM lion logo to reflect the fact the production is now owned by MGM.
- A number of different versions exists of the "Casino Royale" tele-movie. Some include part of the finale and others the full finale. Some versions don't have any end credits. The full version is what was shown in its original broadcast on 21 October 1954, and ends not with Bond instructing Valerie to call the police, but with Le Chiffre holding her captive with a razor, whilst retreating from the room. Bond shoots him. and he and Valerie embrace. Host William Lundigan closes the edition, and the credits roll.
- This version appears on one of the American DVD releases of Casino Royale (1967).
- Le Chiffre's three henchmen were called Basil, Zoltan, and Zuroff. Due to missing and/or incomplete credits on most available prints and copies, it is not commonly known who played the third henchman, Zuroff.
