Great to watch while decorating Christmas Cookies
Christmas-Reviewer9 September 2017
BEWARE OF FALSE REVIEWS & REVIEWERS. SOME REVIEWERS HAVE ONLY ONE REVIEW TO THEIR NAME. NOW WHEN ITS A POSITIVE REVIEW THAT TELLS ME THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH THE MOVIE. IF ITS A NEGATIVE REVIEW THEN THEY MIGHT HAVE A GRUDGE AGAINST THE FILM . NOW I HAVE REVIEWED OVER 300 HOLIDAY FILMS. I HAVE NO AGENDA.

This is just a collection of Christmas Songs sung by your favorite Disney Characters. There is not a story. Just think of it as a 20 music videos which in reality that is what it is. Perfect DVD to put on while trimming the tree or decorating Christmas cutout cookies with your children.

Here is a list of songs

"Deck the Halls" "Joy to the World" "Up on the Housetop" "Up on a Housetop" "Let it Snow" "Sleigh Ride" "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers" "Winter Wonderland" "Here Comes Santa Claus" "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" "Silent Night" "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"

"It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" "Winnie the Pooh's Jingle Bells" "Toyland" "All I Want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" "Seasons of Giving" "As Long As There's Christmas" "Jingle Bell Rock" "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" "White Christmas" "The Best Christmas of All"

Really all you could hope for

Warning: Spoilers
It is pretty much impossible to summarize this one here better than the title does: "Disney Sing-Along-Songs: Very Merry Christmas Songs" will bring you your favorite Disney character for the season of joy and while seeing them you will hear all kinds of Christmas songs, some of them sung by kids choirs, others by individual singers. I must say I knew quite a few of these songs, but others were also kinda new to me like the Santa Lane song near the end. I am European though, so maybe Americans will know all the songs in here. Most of the film is animated, but at times, especially near the end, you will see scenes from Disneyland with Donald and Mickey in costume and not animated. The entire thing runs for slightly under half an hour only, but it includes a whole lot for that runtime. You really are getting something for your money with this one. I think if you love not only Christmas songs (like I do), but also karaoke, then you will have a really great time with this one as you see the lyrics on the bottom of the screen and it is all about singing along here. It can be a great Christmas activity with the holidays slowly moving closer I think, maybe even for classes at school. Many of the songs include religious references, which may not be for everybody, but for me it wasn't a problem at all. And if I can enjoy this as an atheist, then so should everybody else. It was great fun and looking at the number of votes here on IMDb, this is very much underseen. Kids and adults both can enjoy. Major thumbs-up. Don't miss out on it for the 2017 festive season or just the next festive season depending on when you read this review. Highly recommended.

A Very Merry Treat For All Ages

Basically, if you are familiar with Disney's Sing Along Songs video line, this is basically the Christmas special, as the video is almost a half hour of Christmas songs set to classic Disney cartoons (like Deck The Halls set to Pluto's Christmas Tree, Joy To The World to a segement from Fantasia, and Here Comes Santa Claus to footage of a Disney theme park parade).

Beautifully animated and sweet!
TheLittleSongbird5 May 2009
If I had one minor criticism, it is that in "On parade" that the children singing sing a bit flat, but they are children, so that can be forgiven. This short feature(only 27 or so minutes) is beautifully animated, with some of the most loved Christmas carols. From the introduction to the beautiful "Silent Night" ending(from the Ave Maria sequence in fantasia), it was a delight, with some memorable sequences from Disney films and shorts. It was also a treat having stars like Bing Crosby singing Let It Snow! We also see another familiar extract from fantasia, the flower waltz from Nutcracker, set to Joy To the World, along with snippets from On Ice, In The Workshop, Once Upon a Wintertime, Night Before Christmas,Pluto's Christmas Tree, The China Shop, Mickey's Christmas Carol,Peter and the Wolf and Disneyland. The song arrangements were lovely and well sung, with some minor glitches with the children. All in all, a sweet feature that is well animated and very inspiring. 10/10 Bethany Cox

Disney Very Merry Christmas Songs
redbird12113 January 2007
I have a collection of most of the ones listed here. My grandniece loves them, since she is 19 months old. The selection of songs and clips is amazing. It includes traditional as well as modern carols. I won't spoil it for you by telling you which clips were used as it's more fun for you to see them.

However, I will say that among the traditional carols is Silent Night and the clip they chose for it was really appropriate for the song. Of all these I own, I have yet to find one that I don't like and won't watch with her.

Some of the clips they chose are from things that I've not seen, but that doesn't detract from the fun of hearing the carols all year round. If you find a copy of this video, I would highly recommend that you consider adding it to your Disney video collection.

An excellent collection of Christmas carols
NickMiller9325 July 2021
The songs are wonderful and the animation to go along with it is just as good (except for Silent Night, that one scared me as a kid). I watch it every December, usually a few times, and it always gives me the warm fuzzies. I'd recommend watching the VHS version though as it starts with an original song by Jiminy Cricket and has better, simpler song transitions. The DVD version cut the intro, added additional songs that have a different tone and feel from the original, and it adds transitions of some guy talking over footage of a Christmas village. The DVD isn't necessarily bad but it isn't as consistent in quality and tone as the VHS version.

What could be better than singing your favorite Christmas songs along with an old favorite Disney sing-along video.
Mark-AA8427 December 2022
Introduced by Jiminy Cricket singing "Very Merry Christmas," this Disney Sing-Along Songs video is perfect to play for the holiday season. I am more partial to the original 1988 VHS version, but I also remember the 2002 reissue I once checked out from my local library. That more recent version had the same 13 Christmas songs along with some additional songs. I don't know about the DVD version, and I don't think I want to look for it and watch. I remember getting the 1988 VHS original from a late uncle of mine from San Diego when I was a kid. I try to watch it every year at least once.

The footage in some of the songs were not all from Disney related stuff. For example, in "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" Performed by Bing Crosby and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" performed by Gene Autry, you see footage from old Max Fleischer cartoons. Most of the rest of the songs were from holiday albums by Walt Disney Records.

If you like this Disney Christmas sing-along video, you should check out the Twelve Days of Christmas sing-along video which I also recommend.

Great

Cheers!!! Christmas is not complete without its authentic touch… I have a good collection of Christmas country music www.ranker.com/list/country-Christmas-albums/Christmas-music". I really like these songs...I was looking on the net for this information. Finally I found this list of Christmas rock music. Some of these are actually really good songs. I enjoy them! This is a really good list! Hope you will enjoy Christmas country music as much as I do....The Flaming Lips have just recorded a version of festive favorite "Silent Night." The track is a musical extension of the band's recently completed film, Christmas On Mars. Of course, traditionally, movie-related music is recorded in time to actually be included in the movie.
