- SPOILER: During the climactic highway crash, Charlize Theron releases a woman from the trunk of the over-turned car and then runs up the embankment toward the road, but when she gets there you can see her left leg accidentally slip out from under her due to the wet pavement. According to the director's DVD commentary, though in great pain Charlize forced herself to crawl the rest of the way to finish the scene, but once "Cut" was yelled it was realized how seriously her left knee had been injured and filming was delayed briefly while she was hospitalized.
