The identity of The Banker on Deal or No Deal has been confirmed.
The mysterious man speaking to presenter Noel Edmonds on the end of the telephone has been revealed as the Channel 4 gameshow's producer Glenn Hugill.
In an interview with Metro, Endemol producer and Pointless host Richard Osman confirmed long-held fan suspicions that Hugill is The Banker.
Asked about how he came up with new quiz ideas - such as BBC Two's Two Tribes - Osman said that the new show "was an idea that Glenn Hugill - the Banker on Deal or No Deal - and I had been thinking about for a long time".
He added: "We kept coming back to it and thought, 'Hang on, this really works, let's pitch it'."
Hugill is best known for playing policeman Alan McKenna in Coronation Street from 1996-97, and also presented two series of Channel 5's The Mole.
