In the Japanese version, many of the logos were different, like they were spoofs. For example, the Koopa Air graphic was done in the same style as the Goodyear Tires logo. This was changed. Another was the Marioro billboard, which was changed to Mario Star because it was spoofing the Marlboro logo. These changes were made to avoid patent infringement lawsuits from companies whose logos were being parodied upon.
