• Continuity: During Max and Nick's first meeting in Nick's jazz club, the level of Nick's drink fluctuates randomly.
  
  
• Errors in geography: The bus stop at which Brian gets off the bus on his way to the customs house does not exist. No buses run near the Montreal customs house.
  
  
• Continuity: Brian disappears briefly from the passenger seat of the car as he goes to pick up Nick from the sewer.
  
  

• Errors in geography: When Nick inspects the Montreal customs house for the first time, he walks past a street sign pointing to it, which is bilingual with English first. Quebec's language laws would not permit such a sign.
  
  
• Continuity: During the scene in which Nick and Diane discuss their future over champagne, their glasses are fuller in long shots than in close-ups.

These Coordinates are are in the Eastern North Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa, 820 nm W of the island of La Palma. According to GoogleMaps, the actual Coordinates of the Montreal Customs House at 1010 rue de la Gauchetière Est Montréal, QC H3B 2N2, Canada are approximately 45.498391n, 73.567382w. Also, the coordinates given are only accurate to within a mile. This is hardly good enough to pinpoint Nick's location on a map.
  
  
• Errors in geography: The final bus station Edward Norton runs to does not exist. The establishing shot before depicting a Montreal landmark facing the bus stop would place it in the middle of a popular tourist area opened only to pedestrians and cyclists in the old port of Montreal.
  
  
• Factual errors: When Nick uses water from the sprinkler system to fill the safe, that should have triggered an alarm. There is a water flow detection system that sounds an alarm if water is flowing in the pipe.
  
  
• Factual errors: When the hacker explains to Nick Wells (De Niro) how he hacked in to Ironclads secure server, he states that he got in at a "root COBOL level". COBOL is an old financing programming language and has absolutely nothing to do with breaking into computer systems, and even less can you be at any form of "COBOL level" when visiting a remote computer.
