Update August 8, 5:25 pm: Anne Heche is in “extremely critical condition” and remains in a coma following the fiery crash that took place in Mar Vista, California, on Friday night. A rep for the actor told Deadline, “At this time Anne is in extreme critical condition she has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention,” the rep said in a statement. “She is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since shortly after the accident.”
The statement follows the rep’s previous statement that Heche was in “stable condition,” which was issued on Saturday following the incident. A few years ago, Irish filmmaker Ciarán Foy made a name for himself with Citadel, his haunting tale of agoraphobic horror that premiered at the SXSW Film Festival. His latest directorial effort, Sinister 2, is set to debut later this week and Daily Dead recently had the opportunity to speak with him about coming on board the sequel, working with the cast, his experiences collaborating with Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill, who co-wrote the script, and much more.
Sinister 2 is being released on August 21st from Gramercy Pictures and stars James Ransone as Deputy So & So, who has been tracking Bughuul since the events of the original Sinister and finds a woman (Shannyn Sossaman) and her twin sons (Robert and Dart Sloan) living in a rural house that just so happens to be the demonic force’s latest target. It’s soon a race against time for the...

The modern Fps wouldn't be the same without the headshot. But are one-hit kills right for games, James wonders...
The release of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 has us thinking about videogame combat mechanics. Specifically, the idea of the one-shot kill. When one bullet means the difference between success and failure, how can the potential for an instakill affect the way we play - and indeed, is it actually a good thing?
In most shooters, the easiest way to get an instant kill is to go for a headshot. Depending on how tactical a game it is, you may have to use a high-powered weapon, such as a sniper rifle, while in others a simple pistol will suffice. Sometimes it can be mitigated by a helmet, or the type of ammo used - but what usually matters isn't the equipment you choose, but the skill and...

Although the tattoos on Sgt. Steve Shriver (played by Channing Tatum) in ‘Stop-Loss‘ are not real, the Grunt tattoo on his arm in the film is inspired by a very real tat worn by Chan’s good friend and veteran Keith Kurtz.
Rainey: When you going back Steve?
Sgt. Steve Shriver: I’m done. Me and Bk getting out. You know if I had to do it again I’d be a f*****g sniper. One shot. One kill. Let me be the faceless enemy.
Helmed by award-winning director Kimberly Peirce, ‘Stop-Loss‘ is about a veteran soldier who returns from his completed tour of duty in Iraq, only to find his life turned upside down when he is arbitrarily ordered to return to field duty by the Army. In addition to Chan, the 2008 film also stars Ryan Phillippe, Abbie Cornish and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

It has been over ten years since Wes Craven last brought us a chapter in the Scream series. Though once considered revolutionary for its unique blend of self-referential humor and gory scares, the series hit a major bump in the road with Scream 3. Without the pitch-perfect timing of Kevin Williamson’s previous scripts, Scream 3 relied too much on comedic cameos and less on creating an absorbing mystery. Thankfully, the missing ingredient from the third film has returned to join Craven and company for the latest installment in the series. As a result, the re-sharpened knife of Scream 4 digs into your skin with juicy results.
Just so that you are aware, this review will be Spoiler-free. You will not have to worry about me revealing who gets killed and by whom.
As we have come to expect from the Scream series, the film opens with a memorable kill...

Sure, "Flight of the Conchords'" Kristen Schaal doesn't seem like an obvious choice to be a major corporation's spokeswoman; After watching these ads for Sony Ericsson, we're pretty sure a lot of companies are looking up quirky and under-appreciated actresses.
Sony Ericsson recruited Schaal to promote their new gaming smartphone Xperia Play. The campaign? Viral videos. Sounds basic =, right? Well, add in Schaal transforming in a crossbow-wielding dwarf and you've got a viral hit on your hands. We're pretty sure "eyeballs!" will be the next great pop culture quote.
In another video, she transforms from busy businesswoman to gun-wielding crazy killer. Another quotable gem? "One kill, two kill, triple kill, b----es!"
Schaal also voiced Trixie in "Toy Story 3" and Louise in "Bob's Burgers." Watch two of Schaal's popular ads below -- which include kittens, a crossbow and an Ak-47. Seriously, we couldn't make that up if we tried.

Amit Trivedi is considered one of the best new composers in the Hindi film music industry. With each new soundtrack he brings a different sound, a unique flavor that is sometimes surprising but always fits the movie perfectly. We loved his tracks for No One Killed Jessica! Our reviewer wrote, "Amit Trivedi lives up to the high expectations that now will forever follow him everywhere after the National Award and immense commercial success of Aisha and Dev D. The album turns out to have something for all music lovers, be it someone who likes Trivedi's crazy eccentric music or someone who would much rather a soft soulful number. Ultimately, an album certainly worth checking out!"
We have an exclusive video for you about the making of the songs of No One Killed Jessica! Watch as Amit Trivedi, director of the film Rajkumar Gupta and lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya talk about creating the fabulous tunes 'Dilli',...

NCIS fans know that Gibbs has a list of tenets he lives by, but Tuesday's season finale, “Rule Fifty-One,” is perhaps the most overt reference to Jethro's unwritten code.
Naturally, the definition of the 51st rule is being closely guarded, but executive producer Shane Brennan did offer this: "Fans are about to learn three rules in one episode.”
“At the end, they’ll see Gibbs compose one. He makes a difficult choice, and sees something so unexpected he hasn’t got a rule for it, so he articulates one and adds it to the list. It’s a very, very poignant moment, pertinent to the rules, that will tug at the heartstrings.”
The known rules of Gibbs range from memorable to forgettable, and from longstanding to only recently unveiled (such as Rule #40 in this month's "Borderland").
While it's believed Gibbs has 50 rules - which he once told Ziva, and the...

With Overture Films having already released 7 (yes, you heard right) clips from The Crazies, I pretty much assumed we were all done and just gearing up for the release this Friday. I was dead wrong. Beyond the break you'll find a look at the film featuring a "crazy" with a pitchfork and stars Radha Mitchell and Danielle Panabaker in a heap of trouble. Two scares. One kill? We'll find out Friday. Directed by Breck Eisner, Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell, Joe Reegan, Danielle Panabaker, Joe Anderson, Justin Welborn all star. The story revolves around the inhabitants of a small Kansas town who are beset by death and insanity after a plane crash lets loose a secret biological weapon into the water supply.

Now on DVD and Blu-ray comes the "Terminator for the 90s," the cult classic film Hardware. A mix of science fiction and horror, the film takes place in a Post-apocalyptic world that has seen nuclear devastation turn much of it into a radioactive wasteland. Scavengers hunt through cities and deserts, searching for scrap metal and other things to sell off. In the midst of this, traveling soldier Moses Baxter comes across a fellow scavenger who has found bits of a strange robot, pieces that he purchases for his artist girlfriend to use in a sculpture. What he doesn't know, however, is that these pieces belong to a killer military robot, the Mark 13, a spider-like killer filled to the gyroscopes with ways to kill you. Soon, the robot reactivates itself and beings repairs, arming itself with a drill, a saw blade, and reactivating its poison filled hypodermic fangs. Obviously once this happens, the...
