CBS is sending celebrities into the wild. As first reported by TMZ, the Eye network is believed to be working on a new reality series to air this spring, which Variety has learned will be titled “Beyond the Edge.” The show would pit celebs in a “Survivor”-like battle of strategy, wits and muscle.
The network is officially declining comment on the news. But the project, believed to have been shot in Bocas del Toro, Panama, in September and October this year, will — according to TMZ — feature contestants including Colton Underwood (“The Bachelor”), former NBA star Metta World Peace, former NFL star Ray Lewis, Jodie Sweetin (“Full House”), Eboni K. Williams (“Real Housewives of New York”) and model Paulina Porizkova.
Although details beyond that are slim, Variety hears that producers include Renegade 83, the company behind “Naked and Afraid.” Renegade 83’s earlier shows include “Blind Date” and “The Surreal Life” — so...

Now that dating apps have changed the game and blind dates are fewer and further between, Bravo announced they will update the show for 2019 “with social media trends and diverse couples of all ethnicities, ages and sexual orientations.” Each half-hour episode, like the original, will feature strangers who are paired up and sent off on a blind date.
Rachel Smith, Senior Vice President, Development at Bravo announced the series order which comes from Universal Television Alternative Studio. Casting for the show will begin immediately.
“Blind Date,” which aired for 1440 total episodes, was originally hosted by veteran radio broadcaster and “Hard Copy” alum Roger Lodge.

When I went, aged 7 or 8, to audition for Music College, I was asked to sing “the first song that came into my head”. That song was the A Team theme music, by Mike Post. My older brother, in his audition, apparently sung the same thing. My mother chastised us afterwards, but clearly our renditions of this truly inspiring piece of music were acceptable, as we were both accepted.
There are some themetunes that beckon us to the television, signalling our favourite show is about to start. There are some that we find ourselves humming merrily as we go about our day. The 2012 Emmy Awards are in the books, with the usual mix of perennial winners (The Daily Show making it a ten-peat), new blood (Claire Danes storming the Best Actress in a Drama category), and even a few “Why the Face?” victories (hello, Jon Cryer).
The winners and losers of the 2012 Emmy telecast, however, are an altogether different matter. Without further ado, let’s count down the 5 Best and 3 Worst moments of this year’s ceremony.

Jerry Springer's latest iteration of voyeuristic, tabloid television comes in the form of Gsn's Baggage. On the dating show, the former mayor of Cincinnati and host of his eponymous syndicated talk show guides a bachelor or bachelorette through a series of revelations about three prospective dates. The catch? The prospective dates have baggage. Literally. They each tote three suitcases along with them, and each suitcase contains a secret. The bigger the suitcase, the bigger the secret. It's pretty okay as far as bad television goes, though watching really just makes you nostalgic for dating shows from the format's Golden Age in the early 2000s, when Blind Date and The Fifth Wheel ruled the ratings. While Springer will never top Roger Lodge in my book, Baggage isn't doing too shabby. Gsn recently debuted the series' second season and signed svelte Hollywood blogger, Perez Hilton for a short-form web series as...

This week kicks off mid-coitus with a bunch of naked entwined limbs.
Usually, I find hetero sex utterly revolting. I know there are straight people in the world – some of them have even been to my house! – but why do they have to be so in our faces with it, you know?
But in this case, I don’t really mind it. Because they’re both hot. Especially “Mmm, Mmm Good” Gilles Marini. Have I mentioned yet that I have a serious thing for him? And Sarah has always been my favorite Walker, so this is all pretty golden.
Plus there’s smoking chemistry between them, as evidenced by how they keep stroking one another throughout the scene, like game show models with Turtle Wax.
As pillow talk usually does (at least on TV), their post-sex conversation turns to “The Future.” Although in my experience, it usually turns to “Whose...

Roger Lodge, best known for hosting the syndicated show Blind Date, has been tapped to host GSN's upcoming hidden-word game show Camouflage.
The show, from Buena Vista Prods., is a mix of trivia and word puzzle. Lodge will preside over puzzles composed of a series of seemingly random letters; however, hidden within each puzzle is the answer to a clue that has been given by Lodge. The contestants are given a preliminary hint, and game play begins, with the decoy letters dropping away one at a time until someone buzzes in with an answer. The sooner a puzzle is solved, the more points it is worth.
GSN has ordered 40 half-hour episodes of the show (HR 3/28). Camouflage, which goes into production Wednesday in Los Angeles, is set to air weekdays at 7:30 p.m. starting July 2.
"Roger Lodge is exactly the type of host we were looking for to head this addictive game that you can't help but play along with," GSN senior vp programming Jamie Roberts said.
