Former HGTV star Charles “Todd” Hill is facing some serious legal troubles. He is being ordered to pay nearly $10 million in institutions and has been sentenced to four years in Santa Clara County Jail after he was tied to multiple fraud schemes. Keep reading to see what was uncovered during the trial and when Todd will be serving his sentence.
Why Is Charles ‘Todd’ Hill Going To Jail?
Todd Hill appeared on Flip It To Win It in 2014. The program showed five teams of “expert flippers” who bid against each other on houses, sight unseen. Whichever team sold their house for the most cash won the challenge.
The show only aired for one season, but he gained notoriety for his work on the program. Unfortunately, what he will be remembered for now is the real estate and financial fraud he has been accused of.

On Monday, North Carolina woman Jamie Basinger pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter after her 3-year-old son, Landyn Melton, froze to death in March on an outside porch while she slept inside.
The child was found dead on March 15 after investigators say he went outside in the middle of the night and could not get back into the house. Basinger, who was originally charged with both involuntary manslaughter and child abuse, pleaded guilty to the former charge while prosecutors dropped the latter.
She was released from incarceration earlier this week after being held since her arrest earlier this year, her attorney told People.

Cornealious ‘Mike’ Anderson, who was imprisoned in July 2013 for a crime he was convicted of 13 years prior, was released from prison Monday.
Cornealious ‘Mike’ Anderson Released
Anderson, due to a clerical mistake, was never put behind bars for his conviction in an armed robbery he committed in his 20s. At the time, he inquired about his imprisonment to his lawyer and half-waited to get picked up by law enforcement. Choosing not to flee the state, Anderson cleaned up his act and made a life for himself. Before he was jailed in July, Anderson was running his own construction company and was happily married with children.
“He has been able to accomplish for himself what the criminal justice system does not accomplish in many situations," Patrick Megaro told the judge during Anderson’s hearing on Monday, touting his client’s self-rehabilitation.

Diane Haithman contributes to Deadline’s TV coverage. When documentarian Ken Burns speaks, everything sounds like poetry. At today’s TCA panel on his latest PBS documentary The Dust Bowl, Burns didn’t say that some of the survivors of the devastating 1930s dust storms that were interviewed for the documentary have died. He said: “We have already lost four of them to the merciless passage of time.” The documentary will air in two episodes November 18-19. Related: TCA: PBS Sets Ken Burns’ ‘The Roosevelts’ & Pair Of Cuban Missile Crisis Specials But some of them are very much alive. Cal Crabill, 87, appeared on the panel with Burns, his producing partner Dayton Duncan, and author and columnist Tim Egan, who appears in the documentary and whose book The Worst Hard Time served as an inspiration to the filmmakers. Burns and Duncan said they connected with some of the approximately 25 survivors interviewed through appeals on PBS stations,...

Even though a judge today sentenced actor Charlie Sheen to 30 days in jail, he won't have to serve hard time in the slammer for his conviction on domestic violence charges. That's because the Two and a Half Men star's lawyer managed to win him a favorable plea deal that reduces his time behind bars to almost nil. How did this all go down? Easy. Time served. Sheen's sentence -- stemming from a Christmas Day 2009 altercation with wife Brooke Mueller -- will be wiped away because the actor spent over a month this summer at Promises rehab clinic in Malibu....

MTV reality star and rapper Clifford 'T.I.' Harris is out of prison, into a halfway house and that much closer to home for Christmas. Harris, a father of five children, who served a 366-day sentence on weapons charges, has been released from a low-security penitentiary in Forrest City, Ark., and moved to a halfway house in Atlanta, a move that his attorney said is not unusual. "It happens across the board as long as the inmates are eligible," attorney Steve Sadow told E! Online. "They decided that three months in a halfway house would assist him with reentering society." Time served and good behavior credit led to his early release. T.I. is expected to live at this halfway...
