Q: What happened to Carrie's sister? Did she just disappear after a few episodes?

A: Carrie's sister Sara Spooner was a character they decided to cut, and she was last seen in the episode "Head First" (season 1, episode 6). Sara was never mentioned again and after her cut, Carrie was an only child for the future of the show.

Q: Why did Larry Romano, who played Richie, leave the show?

A: After being on "The King of Queens" for three seasons, Larry Romano left the show for the series "Kristin." His character's absence was never explained.

Q: When did Nicole Sullivan, who played Holly, join the show?

A: Holly can be first seen in the fourth season premiere. She left the show in Season 8, Episode 5 "Sandwiched Out." However Holly was last seen in the final episode when she returned for the series finale.

Nicole Sullivan also played a small part in Season 3, Episode 25 as Marilyn, a sales assistant in a baby goods shop.

Q: What character did Lou Ferrigno play?

A: Lou Ferrigno played (a fictionalized version of) himself as the next door neighbor to Doug and Carrie.

Q: What were Doug's and Carrie's jobs?

A: Doug is an IPS driver for all nine season with the exception of the last part of the 9th season where doug becomes a salesman, while Carrie is a legal secretary for the first five seasons until she is fired and then later works at a real-estate firm.

Q: Are Spence and Danny gay?

A: They did buy a house together, but the answer is no. It is clear in many episodes that Danny and Spence are straight. They compete for many girls in a lot of episodes. The fact that they appeared to be gay (to other characters on the show) was the primary source of humor in stories involving them.

Q: Was "The King of Queens" canceled after 9 seasons, or did it end itself?

A: The show was NOT canceled. The one-hour series finale of CBS's King of Queens drew a solid 8.8 rating and a 13 share Monday night, representing 13.5 million viewers -- some of them drawn away from the competing Heroes on NBC and 24 on Fox. As a long-running successful series, the show was growing more expensive each year with slowly declining ratings. After extensive negotiations, an abbreviated final season was agreed upon by the network and producers.
