Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

A man and a woman start to have sex (they stop partway through). Some female nudity is seen; you see her on top of him, thrusting and moaning.

Two boys attempt to rape a girl named Samantha (all three people around 16-18 years old). You see him kissing her rather violently.

There is a scene where Maggie is about to take a bath. She drops a towel around her to step into the bathtub and is shown fully from the rear.

Violence & Gore

Said boys murder Samantha by sticking thin plastic wrapping over her mouth, thus suffocating her to death. Her dead and decaying body is found later.

There is a scene where Tom is hit violently twice with a fireplace poker, and then another character is shot in the chest several times.

A dream sequence shows a young man holding a gun to his head, the camera turns away, there is a gunshot, and when the camera flashes back to him his entire head is covered in blood and he is smearing the blood around on his face. In a flashback scene a character is shown being beaten and thrown around violently. This character hits the ground hard and a bloody tooth is knocked out. Seconds later one of their fingernails is ripped off.

Profanity

Pervasive (although not that frequent) usage of the F-word. Other milder profanities used quite a bit.

Drinking is seen in numerous scenes in which you sometimes see people who are drunk.

A woman mentions that her and her friend have just smoked marijuana.

Quite a few characters are shown to be smoking, including one who practically lights his next cigarette with the last one.

Many frightening scenes in which the ghost of Samantha jumps out.The soundtrack adds to the effect by adding rather loud bursts of music that may make some jump. Other scenes involving frightening images aren't necessarily there to make viewers jump, but may still disturb some. Some of these scenes include the killing of Samantha, a part in which a character is hypnotized, and some moments where a boy is talking to Samantha.

There is a vivid scene of a decomposed body that would be extremely intense for a younger child.
