Hamen Raaston Ki Zaroorat Nahin Hai from Naram Garam.. Portions of the tune of this song were re-used by R.D. Burman in two other songs - the title song of "Agar Tum Na Hote" (1983) and "Saagar Kinare" ("Saagar", 1985). This song itself had other precursors in Bollywood - "Thandi Hawayen" ("Naujawan", 1951), "Tera Dil Kahan Hai" ("Chandni Chowk", 1954), "Yehi Hai Tamanna Tere Dar Ke Samne" ("Aap Ki Parchhaiyan", 1964) and "Rahen Na Rahen Hum" ("Mamta", 1966). "Kahan Tha Jo Tumne" from Pyaar Ka Taraana was also inspired from this song.
Film introduced lead cast names in a unique way by showing their names written on sand on the beach.
After the film had been released in India in 1993, the producer of the film Mangharam Harwani (of Sunico Productions in Denmark) sued the director and co-producer Dev Anand for violation of copyright and non-payment of distribution royalties, and for receiving death threats from Anand's men in India. The civil case was filed in the Bombay High Court in March 1994. The criminal case under the I.P.C. 406 and 420 for fraud was filed in the Metropolitan Court of Andheri in Bombay later the same year. Eventually the cases pended for 8 years, and was finally settled on 28th October 2002, agreeing that Anand would pay Harwani Rs 12,000,000 in settlement of the criminal and civil case against Anand. His daughter Pinky Harwani was launched by Feroz Khan in Janasheen.
For the first time. Dev Anand dint act in this film which he made. When people saw the film, many missed him as everyone is used to see him in his movies.
