- Continuity: When Alonzo's car is wrecked, it hits two cars - one in the rear and one head on. When he is seen later driving the same car, it is completely repaired.
- Factual errors: Casting director Mary Vernieu's name is misspelled in the end credits, as "Mary Verneiu" (theatrical version only, not home video).
- Crew or equipment visible: When Jake Hoyt crawls out of the window (during his pursuit of Alonzo), a small stage light is visible on a stand, aimed at the background.
- Continuity: In the final scene when Jake pulls into the driveway, a car is visible through his rear window. As he gets out, the other car's door opens and someone begins to exit, yet when Jake is outside no more of this person is seen. This scene was trimmed to remove a confrontation between Jake and the "Three Wise Men" seen earlier in the movie. However, the scene was not re-shot leaving the "menacing" moment of a mysterious person getting out of a car unexplained.
- Continuity: The pipe that is taken from the kids and that Hoyt smokes out of changes - in some scenes it has a contoured center, and in others it's just a cylinder
- Continuity: When Alonzo takes off his glasses in the cafe, they jump from hand to hand.
- Continuity: On the roof top, Alozno throws Jake through a window. In the reverse shot, the glass has disappeared from the upper unbroken section of the window. When Alonzo goes back to the window a few moments later he knocks off bits of glass that reappeared.
- Continuity: When Jake jumps on a balcony near the end of the movie, there is already a gun on the balcony, yet Jake only drops the gun a few seconds later.
- Continuity: When Smiley has Jake in the bathtub, the wide shots show Smiley holding the shotgun with both hands. The cuts from Smiley's point-of-view show him holding the shotgun with only hand. Showing both hands would have blocked Jake out of the shot.
- Continuity: When Jake is in the bathtub, when we first look at him the drain is plugged. The next time we see him, it's unplugged.
- Continuity: The level of the drink in Alonzo's hand when they first go to see Roger changes between shots.
- Continuity: While Alonzo is meeting with the wise men, Jake's glass of water switches from having ice cubes to not having any.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Smiley calls Dreamer out to count the money, she complains and as the scene changes, dialogue continues but Dreamer is not talking.
- Revealing mistakes: When driving the Monte Carlo, the transmission shifter is in "P" (parking) position.
- Continuity: After Alonzo and Hoyt leave the coffee shop and are in Alonzo's car, he you can see them pass a street with two large buildings in the background. When Alonzo tells Hoyt to roll down his window to listen to the street a couple minutes later, the same street that they passed earlier is in the background.
- Continuity: After Hoyt stops the two crackheads from raping the girl and Alonzo comes on the scene to question the girl, he asks her "Why are you out here? They probably got AIDS, you know? Why are you not in school?". At this point her sweater is on both shoulders. Immediately after asking the question, the scene cuts and her sweater is off her left shoulder.
- Continuity: After the shootout sequence with the gang members in the LA neighborhood, Jake and Alonzo drive fast to get away. They stop sometime soon after on a highway. When both exit the vehicle, the Monte Carlo is still running, as can be seen from the exhaust pipe which emits smoke. When they are done arguing, Alonzo and Jake get back into the vehicle. Alonzo starts the vehicle although in the previous scene, it was left running.
- Continuity: Near the end of the movie, Hoyt rips Alonzo's badge from his neck and says "You don't deserve this." When Hoyt leaves, Alonzo is leaning against his car pulling out a cigarette, there you can see that he is still wearing the badge that Hoyt had initially ripped off.
- Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Hoyt is with the Mexicans and they ask to see his gun, he unload the magazine, and then take out the cartridge for the gun barrel. The Mexicans take his magazine, so he can't reload it, but when he gets his gun back, he could easily have loaded the single cartridge into his gun. Also, when the Mexicans have him face down in the bathtub, you can clearly see that Hoyt is carrying two spare magazines for his gun. He could've reloaded one of them when he got his gun back.

Goofs below here contain information that may give away important plot points. You may not want to read any further if you've not already seen this title.
- Continuity: SPOILER: At the end of the movie when they are outside Alonzo's house, Jake jumps on the car and Alonzo proceeds to smash his car into numerous cars on the street, however at the end of the movie when Alonzo's driving, right before he gets shot up, the car hardly has a ding other than the front windshield cracked. What happened to the damage?
