Even the most powerful fires burn out eventually.
And unfortunately, to our immense displeasure, that's exactly what's happening with the fan-favorite series, Station 19.
News of Station 19's cancelation hasn't gone over well, in the least, as the devoted fanbase is still putting up a good fight and making their case for the series to get picked up somewhere, anywhere else.
If you haven't already made your voice heard and participated in #SaveStation19 or signed the petition, you can find it here.
Whether it proves fruitful or not, as bittersweet as it is, we can still show up and show out for the final season of this series as of now.
Every little bit counts!
And from everything expected from Staton 19 Season 7 Episode 1, we're in store for one hell of a ride.

In a year when the Barbenheimer phenomenon dominated the industry, it was Adam Sandler who made the most money among Hollywood A-listers in 2023. The Sandman did not have any theatrical releases in 2023. However, his million-dollar Netflix deal spawned two live-action films and one animated film this year. Along with these movies, Sandler had a busy time doing stand-up comedy shows across the U.S. Adam Sandler earned $73 million from all these projects in 2023.

Sandler is way ahead of the next actor on the list. Margot Robbie’s earnings from Barbie made her the second-highest-earning actor of 2023, with $59 million. Tom Cruise and Matt Damon secured the third and fourth positions with $45 million and $43 million, respectively.

Matt Damon’s filmography boasts credits that illustrate the actor’s bankable stature. But one endeavor that often gets overlooked, presumably because of the reception it received pre- and post-release, was Zhang Yimou’s The Great Wall. Looking back on the project, the Oppenheimer alum acknowledged discerning early on that the movie may be a disaster. And disaster it was—if you consider its box office performance and critics’ evaluations, at least.
Matt Damon in The Great Wall (2016)
It wasn’t just that, though. Leading up to the film’s release, the implications of Damon’s inclusion in a premise set in medieval China, where he starred as a European mercenary warrior who joins forces with the Chinese to help combat an alien threat, was not treated lightly. Accusations faulted the initiative for utilizing the ‘white savior trope’ and ‘whitewashing.’
Of course, those are arguments that characterize many Hollywood endeavors.

Sylvester Stallone helped Dolph Lundgren achieve action star status when he cast him in Rocky IV. But action films changed a bit over the years thanks to features like The Bourne trilogy. Lundgren seemed to feel this could be both a positive and a negative.
What Dolph Lundgren felt about Matt Damon’s ‘Bourne’ movies Dolph Lundgren | Axelle/Bauer-Griffin/FilmMagic
Lundgren has starred in his own fair share of action movies. He starred in such features as 1989’s The Punisher and Universal Soldier, and held a certain fondness for action stars in the 80s. To him, the action heroes of yesterday had the physique to earn their roles more so than the action stars of today.

Plot: In 1984, Nike executive Sonny Vaccaro (Matt Damon) tries to recruit Michael Jordan as a Hail Mary to save the fledgling basketball shoes division.
Review: Ben Affleck‘s Air allows the director to play to all his strengths as a director and actor. Like Argo, it shines a light on an intriguing event from the eighties, but unlike that film, the stakes here aren’t necessarily life and death. But, if you think the idea of a movie about Michael Jordan being signed to Nike is minor, you’d be wrong, as this is a truly involving, entertaining depiction of everything that went into the landmark deal. And this deal forever changed the way athletes are compensated the world over.
Matt Damon is at his best as the plucky Vaccaro. A passionate devotee of the game, he’s trying to put Nike on the map amongst basketball players at a time when Nike,...

One might not imagine that one of the writers of "The Big Bang Theory" and "Young Sheldon" would be behind one of 2023's most anticipated, high-concept sci-fi shows, but that's exactly the situation we find ourselves in. Hailing from Tara Hernandez, "Mrs. Davis" debuts on Peacock later this month, with Damon Lindelof, of "Lost" and "The Leftovers" fame, serving as co-creator on the series alongside her. Based on the reception coming out of this year's SXSW, it promises to be a wild ride.
The show stars Betty Gilpin ("The Hunt") and focuses on a nun who is making it her mission to destroy the most powerful artificial intelligence in the world. Having seen a couple of episodes, that hardly scratches the surface of just how wild this show is. That scope and ambition on display is probably why the first four episodes are going to debut all at once.

A little over a year after Ben Affleck mused he would never make a theatrically released movie again, and insisting he wanted to focus on non-franchise films for adult audiences, the filmmaker nonetheless enjoyed one of the happiest box office stories of 2023. To be sure, this past holiday weekend was dominated by yet another “IP movie,” as Affleck is wont to say, The Super Mario Bros. Movie. However, in the shadow of that film’s gargantuan $205.5 million across five days, Affleck’s own adult-skewing drama, Air, also dominated the court in its own league, grossing $20.2 million over five days.
Not bad for a movie that’s produced by one of the biggest streamers around, Amazon Studios, and which true to Affleck’s word wasn’t even originally intended to reach the big screen. In fact, Air didn’t pivot to a theatrical release until post-production when Amazon realized how well...

“I keep thinking about this quote by Nelson Mandela: ‘I don’t lose. The trailer offers a look at Jax on and off the job, and the two will very much collide, especially when it comes to Michael Ealy’s Damon. It appears the one thing to keep in mind about Jax is simple: “At the end of the day, I love criminals.” Watch the video above for more. Disney Onyx Collective’s legal drama premieres on Hulu on September 27 with two episodes. It follows Jax as she fiercely bucks the justice system through wild interpretations of the law and sometimes questionable ethics,...

Christmas movies suggest family-friendly, heartwarming tales, designed for peak holiday family moviegoing. And then there’s the other kind — the late-breaking, high-profile, A-list titles designed to hit the box office and Oscar voters’ consciousness. Some of these launched at prestige fall film festivals (“Downsizing,” “Molly’s Game,” “Hostiles,” “Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool”); others are bonafide awards contenders (Steven Spielberg’s “The Post” and Paul Thomas Anderson’s “Phantom Thread”); and some, like Hugh Jackman vanity musical “The Greatest Showman,” will soon skid into either bad reviews or audience reaction, or both.
Herewith, a ranking of the Christmas movies in order of their likely Oscar prospects.
“The Post” (Fox, December 22)
Metascore: 82.

Lethal Weapon is going to be a lot of fun tonight as the show brings a favorite character from the films to the small screen.
Yep. It's time for Riggs and Murtaugh to meet Leo Getz.

But don't expect to see a copycat. Lennon will be bringing a fresh take Getz, and if you've seen any of his previous work, you know it's going to be hilarious.
We had a chance to chat with Lennon about Leo Getz, how he prepared for the role and what it was like working on Lethal Weapon.

A couple of weeks ago, I noted that New Girl had evolved into such an ensemble comedy that it would be just fine during Zooey Deschanel's six-episode maternity leave. So far, we've had two episodes — both of them, like the last few with Deschanel, filmed immediately after production on last season wrapped, so the show could get them done before they lost the star for a while — just featuring the remaining castmembers (plus guests like Fred Armisen, Bill Burr, and Lennon Parham), but the remainder of Deschanel's absence will revolve around the introduction of a temporary addition to the loft: Reagan, a pharmaceutical sales rep played by Megan Fox. Fox has some comedy on her resume, so it's not a complete surprise that she works out quite well in the two episodes I've seen with her. But it's a significant change in the show's usual dynamics, since Reagan is...

In the summer of 1989, while Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing" was sounding a thunderclap in cinemas, a troupe of largely black actors and comedians came together on a Fox sound stage in Century City to produce a sketch comedy show aimed at servicing a minority point of view that had been underrepresented by the medium. With producer Keenen Ivory Wayans at the helm, fresh off the success of his 1988 Blaxploitation parody film "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka," eight individuals — a then-unknown Jim Carrey along with Kelly Coffield, Kim Coles, Tommy Davidson, David Alan Grier, T'Keyah "Crystal" Keymáh and Wayans' siblings Damon and Kim — filmed the first episodes of "In Living Color." The show debuted on April 15, 1990, and 25 years later, Damon Wayans can't help but remember first and foremost that he had hair back then. As Kim Wayans says in our extended feature on the 25th anniversary of "In Living Color," her brother Keenen was always encouraging on-screen talent to draw on real-life circumstances and relationships to inject truth into their work. That was, as Damon Wayans explains, the big difference between "Saturday Night Live," a writer-driven show, and "In Living Color," a character-driven show where actors were eventually encouraged to pitch characters and concepts and work them out with the writers. It's no surprise, then, that some of these characters would have personal connections with the performers. As you can see in anecdotes from Kelly Coffield, T'Keyah "Crystal" Keymáh and Kim Wayans, quite a few of them in fact came from other corners of their lives, be it someone they knew or something that would just organically spring to life in the day-to-day camaraderie of the show. Damon Wayans Jr is sadly leaving behind the days of New Girl. He will not return for a possible fifth season, but will currently wrap up the 4th one. He has had an off and on role as Coach, until last season when he became a regular guest star. This has been the first full season where he was a regular cast member, but was only signed on for 1 season. Here is what the funny man, Damon had to say.
I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to come back to New Girl in Season 3 to reprise the role of Coach, Working with this incredibly talented and funny cast and crew has been one of the best experiences of my career
We will miss him, as he did add a whole lot to the show. However, we are sure that Damon will find another show to bring a lot of humor to.

People don’t normally associate the name Nina Dobrev with comedy. The breakout starlet of the hit CW series The Vampire Diaries is more firmly rooted in drama, but she seems eager to spread her talents around. And so she’ll stretch her funny bone alongside funny men Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. in Let’s Be Cops, which opens in UK cinemas on August 27.
The film follows a pair of hapless friends in Los Angeles, who masquerade as police officers to reap the benefits and prestige of wearing the badge. We were lucky enough to chat with Nina about a variety of things including her role in the film, working with awesomely funny people, Twitter, and buddy cop movies (her answer may surprise you).

If you’re in love with New Girl‘s dynamic duo, Damon Wayans, Jr. and Jake Johnson, you’re about to love them even more. VH1 recently sat down with the bromantic stars of Let’s Be Cops to learn about hilarious past jobs they’ve had (yes, Jake was in a 2007 tampon commercial), how they work their moves to get the ladies, and what they’d be like as real life roomies (attention ladies: Damon is single And a neat freak!).
The two refer to themselves as “the odd couple” and clearly didn’t need any liquid courage (see video above) in order for their real life chemistry to resonate on screen. Happy Endings alum Damon was open to discussing what it’s like having a stranger’s balls in his face, while Jake didn’t shy away from answering why he always seems to bet getting these “slacker” roles.

Chicago – When the assignment was to find a comedy team to take on impersonating police officers, funny men Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr. – of the TV series “New Girl” – fit the uniforms perfectly for the new film, “Let’s Be Cops.” Add in the always hilarious Rob Riggle, and let the games begin.
Riggle is a well known comic character presence on “The Daily Show” and films like “The Hangover,” “21 Jump Street,” “Big Miracle” and the upcoming “Dumb and Dumber To.” Riggle is also famous for having served in the Marines and Marine Reserves for a total of 23 years – retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel – and began his comedy career after his first military stint.

Kicking off the weekend a little early, the cast of “Let’s Be Cops” attended the Hollywood premiere on Thursday evening (August 7).
“Vampire Diaries” dame Nina Dobrev wowed the crowd at the ArcLight Hollywood with her orange, black and gold patterned minidress as she clowned around on the red carpet.
Meanwhile, on-screen buddies Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr looked to be thoroughly enjoying the event and made sure to show some love to their fans.
Adding some eye candy to the night, Julianne Hough and Hannah Simone showed up as did “New Girl” hunk Max Greenfield.
Of the gig, Damon told press, “Jake and I are never ones to want to steal the scene. We’re good about sharing jokes and sharing time to shine or whatever, so we're never worried about that.”
Johnson added, “We knew we were going to improvise and pitch each other jokes. It was...

Will Poulter - Gally
Kaya Scodelario - Teresa
Dylan O’Brien - Thomas
Ralph Garman (Mod): Please welcome director Wes Ball, author James Dashner, Will Poulter, Kaya Scodelario and Dylan O’Brien. Dylan, as Thomas, an actor tends to want to use his environment etc. and you have none of those advantages with this character.

Nothing really surprises Lena Dunham. If you've seen Girls, you know she's seen, imagined, or tried nearly everything. In other can't-miss tweets, Ellen is cashing in on marijuana trends, and Kelly Osbourne had a pretty crappy time at Barney's. Keep reading to Lol at all that and more! Ja from Mnpp here again, taking a look at the news that no less than Lee Daniels is about to sign on to directthe long-gestating bio-pic of the comedian and actor and genius Richard Pryor.
Apparently Bill Condon almost made it a couple of years ago, but I guess that's fallen through since here we are. I was really looking forward to Daniels making his interracial gay action movie, possibly to star Alex Pettyfer, but I'm not exactly surprised that producers aren't throwing money at that.
And not only do we have a director, but we have a trio of names that're rumored to be up to play the troubled, brilliant comedian. Eddie Murphy, who's been considered for the role for as long as they've been thinking about making the movie really, is still in the mix, although if they want to focus on Pryor's life in his 20s and...

With cinematic releases at the moment mostly involving the not-particularly inspiring likes of "That's My Boy" and "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter," it's hard not to look to television for a little nourishment. The trouble is that the TV season has wrapped up for the year. While a few shows (namely "Girls") are still wrapping up, and others get underway shortly ("The Newsroom," "Breaking Bad," "Louie"), it's pretty quiet on the box, with cast and creatives focusing on making a hiatus movie, campaigning for Emmy, or just getting some sleep for once.
Still, with the 2011/2012 TV season done, we thought we'd shine a light on the small screen this week. Tonight, TV Land is airing the 10th Anniversary TV Land Awards where Fox’s In Living Color is recognized with the Groundbreaking Award. But you wouldn’t know from it that Damon Wayans was a part of the iconic sketch comedy series. There were two members of In Living Color‘s core cast who were no-shows at the TV Land Awards ceremony, which took place on April 14 in New York: Jamie Foxx and Damon Wayans. Foxx couldn’t attend because he has been in New Orleans filming Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, in which he plays the title role. The absence of Wayans, who told organizers he was unavailable, was more puzzling. Wayans, who is credited as co-creator of In Living Color with his brother Keenen Ivory Wayans, was a key In Living Color writer-performer, who played some of the show’s most memorable characters. Happy Endings is one of the kookiest sleeper hit sitcoms in recent years. The Chicago-set series is both wacky and unpretentious, and that combination helps the friendships between its six ensemble characters (played by Casey Wilson, Eliza Coupe, Elisha Cuthbert, Damon Wayans Jr., Zachary Knighton, and Adam Pally) seem real. It's hard not to dig everyone involved.
I got to catch up with five of the six thespians this week -- only Adam Pally wasn't there -- and I asked about the show's greatest assets: its fun characters, its frantic pace, and its daring weirdness.
One of my favorite things about Happy Endings is that the show never tries to establish each of you as a separate type. No one is "the quirky one." You all get to be insane and similar, but with sly differences, like real friends. That said: What do you think distinguishes your character?

"In Living Color" is coming back to life. At least for a little while.
Fox announced on Friday that they will revive the classic 90s sketch comedy show in the spring of 2012, airing at least two TV specials that will be hosted and executive produced by the show's original co-creator, Keenan Ivory Wayans.
During a revolutionary run between 1990 and 1994, "In Living Color" gave the sketch format an edgier, urban twist, and launched the careers of the large Wayans clan -- Damon, Shawn, Marlon and Kim all co-starred -- as well as David Alan Grier, Jim Carrey and Jamie Foxx. Jennifer Lopez, who led the Fly Girls dance troupe on the show, also got her big break from the series, as did her fellow dancer Rosie Perez.
The network said that the "modern-day take" on the classic "will feature a new cast of fresh, young talent, as well as musical performances by special guests.

Deadline has learned that Fox is bringing back its 1990 sketch comedy series "In Living Color," which will be hosted and produced by Keenen Ivory Wayans, the creator of the show. The network has ordered two half-hour specials to air as part of its 25th anniversary celebration. If successful, "In Living Color" will become part of the regular schedule next season. The original show helped launch the careers of a slew of comedy actors, including Wayans; his siblings Damon, Shawn, Kim and later Marlon; as well as Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx and David Alan Grier - and of course Jennifer Lopez, who was one of the Fly Girls. It spawned such iconic characters as Homey D. Clown (Damon Wayans), Wanda (Jamie Foxx) and Fire Marshall Bill (Jim Carrey). "In Living Color" ended its run in 1994 after five seasons. Wayans is planning to revive the sketch comedy with a new cast.
