One of the many projects that Robert Rodriguez was attached to direct over the past year or two is the remake of the '60s sci-fi sex romp Barbarella, but it fell apart when Universal got cold feet [1] due to budgetary, casting and location concerns. Now it looks like the project is reforming again under the guidance of Dino De Laurentiis, who apparently has a new director lined up to take over the reins. According to Entertainment Weekly [2], Robert Luketic is the man that will replace Rodriguez on this "big intergalactic adventure with a sexy twist". Luketic previously directed the films Monster-in-Law, Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!, Legally Blonde and more recently 21 and The Ugly Truth.
