Weird fantasy story about a paraplegic
lor_14 November 2023
Alex Sanders wrote and co-stars in this Wicked feature, an unusual dramatic fantasy that might have been a classic in its genre with a few rewrites. I was glad to catch up with it, unaware of its existence till now, 3 decades late.

It opens with an extreme closeup blow-job by Kaitlyn on Peter North - a lengthy scene before the opening credits roll. Story is uncommon in porn, about Ashley, who wakes up and lifts herself into her wheelchair, unable to enjoy sex due to her lower body paralysis. Even more dramatic is her evil witch of a stepmom, well-played by Jeanna Fine, who subjects our heroine to relentless psychological abuse.

Sanders wrote his own role as the film's most sympathetic character, a male nurse who cares for Katilyn and regularly takes her to his gym where she can work on her upper body strength in the wait room. Unfortunately she must suffer with Alex's girlfriend Krista Maze and another girl played by Felecia, who like her mom are relentlessly and cruelly mean to her.

She finds solace in her diary, but the mean girls including stepmom read it, freely violating her privacy. What else could go wrong with her empty life? The Devil, that's what, in the form of familiar crew member J. B. playing a beggar in the park who gets an apple from kindly Ashley and then telepathically communicates with her (we hear a voice-over), giving her a new magic diary. It's a Faustian type of bargain, in which what's written in the diary will come true and create a real memory for her. Of course, like any deal with the devil it will have terrible consequences.

This intriguing premise results in Kaitlyn getting back at her enemies in a novel fashion -writing them into sex scenes that however pleasurable result in them disappearing from our world, as if swept up into the magic diary. Scripter Sanders has painted his story into a corner and as played out it leads to an unsatisfying conclusion and some obvious loose ends.

E for effort and credit for originality make this a worhtwhile fantasy movie, that just should have been better.
