Tiger Shroff paid tribute to his father Jackie Shroff in Eros International and Viki Rajani’s upcoming film Munna Michael. He stepped into his father’s footsteps when he recently shot the street-style dance number in Sabbir Khan’s directorial Munna Michael last week.
Speaking on the song, director Sabbir Khan said, “We styled Tiger in a manner similar to his father back in the day. The dance moves have also been designed keeping Jaggu Dada in mind. Tiger resembles his dad from the film Hero in this number and also spoken in the lukka lingo and does it well”.
Ayesha Shroff who has witnessed her son and husband’s career says, “Tiger is as old as his father when he acted in Hero, Tiger started out younger though. When I saw the song he shot for last week, I was stunned. He has paid homage to Jackie and how!

Legendary Chinese filmmaker Wong Kar-Wai is renowned for his vivid use of color, which the kind folks over at Glass Distortion have made abundantly clear in a sweeping new compilation titled simply, “Wong Kar Wai: Color Obsession.” As the filmmaker’s varied spectrum of bright hues and darker tones splash across the screen, one can see how crucial this colorful aesthetic is to creating the distinct mood and atmosphere for which his films are known.
The Chinese auteur’s obsession with color is well documented, as in this 1998 interview with Bomb Magazine, when he compared “Chungking Express” (1994) to “Fallen Angels” (1995) by discussing both films’ palettes: “Whereas ‘Chungking’ was sunshiny and suffused with bright, lovely daytime colors, ‘Fallen Angels’ is more about neon, and night time, and grunge.”

We get a hell of a lot of press releases over here at ComicMix. That’s understandable, even though we’re not really a news site – for those of you who watch Fox News, there’s a difference between “news” and “opinion.” We get ‘em from all sorts of people and places and most of the larger comics publishers, except DC Comics. Hmmm… I wonder why that is?
Perhaps the publisher who leads the pack in sending out press releases is Action Lab. I say this because in the time it took me to write these words we received another seven releases from Jamal Igle. Yes, the artist on Supergirl and Firestorm and New Warriors and Iron Fist / Wolverine and all sorts of other worthy stuff. In a film that works both on a physical and emotional level, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan returns as a working mother, working to balance career with domestic responsibilities. When hotshot lawyer Anuradha Varma’s only daughter is kidnapped during school sports day. Anuradha is stricken with guilt for not spending more time with her child. It’s a prevalent dilemma for working women, and Sanjay Gupta who has so far focused attention on sexy item bombs and sexier guns opens up a debate on the travails of the working woman with flair and gusto, never allowing the thrills to override the somber underbelly of the plot.
Gupta brings flamboyance flourish and a restless energy to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s agile yet feminine role of a mother desperately seeking her daughter. In some ways I was reminded of Anurag Kashyap’s Ugly where a daughter is kidnapped. Kashyap’s film was much darker and ominous.

Pyar karne wale kabhi darte nahin jo darte hain woh pyar karte nahin. 32 years ago Meenakshi Sheshadri had lip-synced Anand Bakshi’s famous words about boundless, unchained, unstoppable love.
Now it’s the striking debutant Athiya Shetty who mouths these words, though we don’t see her saying it. Just feeling it.
Which is really in the fitness of things. This 2015 adaptation of Subhash Ghai’s 1983 musical blockbuster captures the impish bustle and the unbridled impetuousness of first love from the original, and merges these into something slightly sinister and dark.
Because, folks this is 2015. Love at first sight is not a tenable target for a lifetime of togetherness. There are more practical considerations to be gone through before love conquers the pay cheque. Nikhil Advani’s remake of a film about a highly melodratic love is rendered into practical pastel pastiche of passion pain and rebellion.
Hero looks and feels posh.

Fans have loved when Salman Khan has taken the mike and lent his voice to a song for a film. Just look at the numbers for ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’ from Hero, which has reached over 13 million views on YouTube alone. However, the actor does not think a singing career is in his future. In fact, he does not think he is a good singer at all.
He revealed recently, “I can’t sing to save my life. If you ask me to sing the song right now, I will not be able to do that.”
The actor says once he gets in the studio and hears the music composers sing the line, only then can he mimic what they are doing and sing. “I need somebody to sing that line for me then I can sing it — that is the way I sing.”
He does say he really concentrates...

Give it a listen for Mohit Chauhan’s alluring voice that can put you under a spell, and give it a watch for Sooraj and and Athiya’s undeniable chemistry. They truly are the epitome of young love. Sooraj’s expressions are believable and Athiya’s grace is captivating. Sachin-Jigar’s tunes evoke memories of romance, and they can get away with creating an instrumental version of the song… it’s that good. This is a melody that will linger in your head for a while.

Though Salman Khan has done many roles as the romantic hero, the actor follows a 'no-intimate-scene' policy and has always strived to maintain the 'family film' stance. Now that the actor has entered into the new zone of production, he continues to follow the same principle. In the film Hero produced by him, Salman Khan asked director Nikhil Advani to remove a 'lip lock' scene. Revealing about the decision, director Nikhil Advani mentioned that it was just a brush of lips but Salman Khan was sure that he wanted the scene to be edited out. Describing it, Nikhil stated that the scene in the film has Sooraj and Athiya lying atop a truck when Sooraj lovingly pulls out a blanket on them and then he kisses her, which Nikhil claims to be a 'peck'. In fact, elaborating on it, Nikhil added that even before he could see it, Salman spotted...

Salman Khan introduces yet another track from his latest production venture, Hero. The song titled, ‘Yadaan Teriyaan’, is sung by Rahet Fateh Ali Khan and is certainly the heartbreak song of the year.
The song is very emotionally driven and depicts the romantic and emotional extremity of love. After watching the young debutants grooving to the song ‘Dance Ke Legends’, this Rahet Fateh Ali Khan song serves as a nice breather to showcase the young newcomers’ potential and versatility. Composed by Jassi Katyal, the lyrics of the song have been penned by Kumaar. Salman was the first one to share the song link on twitter. The tweet read,

Remaking a film which had worked well is no easy task and director Nikhil Advani who is remaking Subhash Ghai's Hero had a little tough time while shooting for the film. But it wasn't because of the debutants Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty but the producer Salman Khan as he wanted everything bigger and better!
Ask Nikhil if it was a risk or difficult for him and he says, "No, I had the simplest job and I also had a great script. The most difficult person to handle in this film was Salman Khan. He wants everything bigger and better. He said I don't care, spend more money. He is the best producer but the most difficult person to satisfy."
Probe Salman if he was making rounds on the sets also and he said, "No, I was just seeing the rushes and saying bigger. I am still saying that.

There is a lot of buzz around Aditya Pancholi's son Sooraj Pancholi and Suniel Shetty's daughter Athiya Shetty being launched by Salman Khan's production Hero, which is a remake of Subhash Ghai's blockbuster of 80s. However, star kids (especially two new faces) getting swanky launch pads in Bollywood with grooming and exposure is not a new thing. In the past also, we have come across such hugely-anticipated debuts. Though they arrived amidst much hype and fanfare, they couldn't entice the audience in their debut venture. While some star kids later went on to win over everyone, others couldn't create any spark!
But we hope it doesn't turn out to be the case with Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty, who are about to start their career with Hero.
Meanwhile, we take a look at other star kids, who were given dream launch pads in the industry, but...

The first look of Salman Khan Films’ Hero has been released introducing the unconventional yet chic look of debutant Athiya Shetty, daughter of actor Suniel Shetty and the handsome Sooraj Pancholi, son of actor Aditya Pancholi. The newcomer Athiya is seen in a high energy pose, kicking vivaciously high up in the air while Sooraj is seen with ‘Rebels. Love. Freedom.’ written on his fist which covers the lower half of his face. Taking on the centre stage and bringing in fresh vibe and energy— both Sooraj and Athiya represent the vibrancy of the new generation. Hero promises to be a classic romantic entertainer that has been long missing from the Bollywood scene. Produced by Salman Khan and Subash Ghai, the romantic entertainer is directed by Nikhil Advani.

Since many days, speculations have been rife about the postponement of the upcoming film Hero starring debutants Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty. While the two were recently seen together in a sizzling photoshoot for a reputed film magazine, now, it seems that the audience will have to wait for a while to see them together on the big screen. Apparently, the makers have decided to change the release date of the film owing to religious reasons and the release of Salman Khan's film Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Hero, which is a remake of the 1983 Jackie Shroff, Meenakshi Sheshadri starrer by the same name, will now release in the first week of September instead of July. From what we hear, the film which was set to release on July 3 falls in the week of Ramzan, when many will abstain from watching films as a form of observing Ramzan. Though there were lot of speculations around, it is only now that Shraddha Kapoor has been finalized to play the female lead opposite Tiger Shroff in Sajid Nadiadwala's upcoming film Baaghi, helmed by Sabbir Khan.
Ask Sabbir what made him delay in roping Shraddha and he says, "From day one Shraddha was only on our mind and we wanted to sign her but she was busy with Abcd 2 and other projects. Also, we were working upon the script. So, we waited for the right time."
While Tiger Shroff embarked his career on a nostalgic note with Heropanti (that had a touch of his father Jackie Shroff's debut film Hero's signature tune), his second film Baaghi, which shares a similar name with Salman's film, is completely different.
Director Sabbir Khan, who launched Tiger and is now all set to direct him again in Baaghi, says, "My film Baaghi is different from Salman's film.

The latest update is that Aditya Pancholi will now be playing the part of a notorious minister in the film. If reports are to be believed then, the story plot goes like this... in the film, Aditya spots Sooraj who earns his livelihood by selling newspapers at traffic junctions, in order to support his mother. And when Sooraj lands up in jail (for reasons unknown so far) after his mother's death, Aditya Pancholi bails him out and later adopts him and trains him in his nefarious activities. The 80s version had Jackie Shroff playing the role of a goon who, along with his three friends, kidnaps the wealthy and...

Last week Jackie Shroff woke up to reports that he will be playing the villain's part in the remake of Hero. For those who came in late, Jackie played the title role in Subhash Ghai's Hero. The film turned him into an overnight star and launched his career as a pinup idol. The switchover to villainous parts seems incongruous considering Jackie's matinee-idol looks. But he shrugs it off saying, "Even if I am good-looking, so what? Nowadays we have a lot of handsome villains. Who says villains have to look a particular way? Vinod Khanna who played villains, was one of the most handsome men in our industry." Jackie first played the antagonist in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Mission: Kashmir. More recently he played the bad man in Yash Raj Film's Aurangzeb and now in Farah Khan's Happy New Year. Confesses Jackie, "I enjoy playing grey characters. There...

A news report that Subhash Ghai's Khalnayak, the 1993 ominous thriller about a terrorist on the run which was released when the leading man Sanjay Dutt was imprisoned, will be remade by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, turns out to be completely false. Sources say that Bhansali who has just started shooting his ambitious historical Bajirao Mastani has no time or attention for any other project. Two of Ghai's blockbusters Hero and Ram Lakhan have been purchased to be remade by Salman Khan and Karan Johar, respectively. While welcoming the move by eminent filmmakers to revamp his successful films, Ghai says, "I respect Sanjay Leela Bhansali as a unique filmmaker who has also proved himself as an independent producer with Rowdy Rathore and Mary Kom. But I have not made up my mind about selling the remake rights of Khalnayak. Let's wait and see. Having said that, I must admit I...
