Well made but so what?, 9 August 2001
2/10
Author: leask81 from adelaide, australia

Forty-five minutes into this film I thought to myself, okay, this is interesting, but when does the story start? All I had so far was two maverick air-traffic-controllers (it'd put me off flying forever if I thought this type of thing really went on) fighting one another to prove their masculine superiority: one thought he was top dog and found out he wasn't, the other knew he was top dog but didn't care anyway. For the next hour this melodramatic dribble went on - I came to realise that it would NEVER go anywhere and I think I actually dozed off somewhere in the middle. Thankfully, they summarised the "action" in the final fifteen minutes for those who either couldn't keep up with the intricate storyline (yeah right) or else, like me, fell asleep. Yes, it was well-made, with some good acting, scripting, etc... (and it did have a scene were Angelina Jolie's tits were popping out of her bra - I wasn't sleeping then, I can assure you), but you're doing well if you can sit through the entire two hours of this one without groaning and wishing it would END ALREADY!! Predictable, uninteresting melodrama, with VERY little humour; don't waste your time, there are plenty of other like films which are far better. Rating: 4/10
