Michel Hafner (11 April 1999):
This DVD is of pretty good quality. It's mastered from a decent film element, the compression is well done with few artifacts and color and contrast are ok, too. As with most Warner titles, there is however a problem with noise and grain, which is disappointing for a brand new transfer. Some sky shots and some of the interior shots are affected in bright parts of the image. Most of the film is pretty dark though and noise is not apparent in darker image areas. Video artifacts are minimal. Sharpness is also somewhat lacking for a 16:9 transfer.
