It's only been a few months since I last spoke to the tremendously talented actor Clifton Collins Jr., but when you're as much of a workhorse as he is, a lot can happen in such a short period of time ( to read that original interview from late June). He just recently wrapped on the upcoming film The Experiment, an American remake of Oliver Hirschbiegel's amazing German-language film, and he has also expanded his directorial catalog with the release of the latest music video he directed, "Betty Jean," by The Soul of John Black ( to check out the new video on iTunes). Remember Mira Sorvino? She of The Replacement Killers and the Academy Award winning Woody Allen film Mighty Aphrodite? Well, the beaty is back in a film called Like Dandelion Dust, a flick which has just debeuted at the Deauville Film Festival in France. The iMDB lists the synopsis for the film.
Jack and Molly Campbell enjoyed an idyllic life with their adopted 6-year-old son, Joey. One phone call shatters their world when they learn Joey's biological father has just been released from prison and discovered a loop hole in the adoption papers and now lays claim to his son. "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer" will hit high definition when Dark Sky Films releases the film on Blu-ray for the first time. The disc, which includes by director commentary, deleted scenes, documentaries and other extras, arrives on September 29, 2009, Dark Sky has announced. Director John McNaughton’s fact-based drama became instantly notorious upon its premiere at the 1986 Chicago Film Festival. Its story of a conscienceless murderer was so grimly and matter-of-factly presented that it received an Nc-17 rating (later surrendered) upon its commercial release in 1990. Michael Rooker ("The Bone Collector," "The Replacement Killers") gives a chilling performance as Henry, a drifter who leads an ex-jail mate on a killing spree in Chicago, choosing victims at random and varying the execution method to avoid detection.
