Demon Slayer fans have been waiting for quite a long time now for the fourth season to finally arrive. Much to their luck, the first episode of the same is everything they have been expecting the Hashira Training arc to hold for them. Ufotable has always been commended for animating Koyoharu Gotouge’s iconic manga in the most mesmerizing way possible. As such, the first episode is a strong start to set up what is to come.

Season 3 ended on a rather joyous note with Nezuko learning about her abilities more. In a desperate attempt to save Tanjiro, she jumped away from the shadows and into the rising sun. While anime-only fans would have found themselves clutching onto their chairs anxiously, others knew what was to come as Nezuko and the rest learn about her ability of standing under the sun.

Marvel Comics is home to several powerhouses. While some have immeasurable raw strength, others are more mystical in nature. We have witnessed both of these to some extent in the MCU, but the horizons of power levels have expanded way beyond our imaginations once the Infinity saga ended and the Multiverse saga began.
A still from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
We have seen glimpses of these kinds of powers in What If…? and Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness. And in both of them, and even during the Infinity saga, Doctor Strange was perhaps one of the strongest characters on the roster. However, there are other kinds of forces in Marvel that can even overpower the once Sorcerer Supreme.

It’s no secret that Darkseid and Thanos are two of the most powerful and feared villains in the comic book universe. But with Avengers: Age of Ultron and Avengers: Infinity War’s phenomenal successes, one character in particular has emerged as a pop culture icon: The Mad Titan.
In the MCU films, Josh Brolin’s Thanos truly brought the dread, ferocity, spectacle, and shock factor when he assembled the Infinity Stones and snapped half of life away. However, the DC Universe and its heroes have also been afflicted by Darkseid. Naturally, Darkseid and Thanos have caused problems for the members of the primary superhero teams from DC (Justice League) and Marvel (Avengers) through their many battles. So who would win if Darkseid and Thanos faced off?

Carey, who presented the first trophy during Sunday’s telecast to Miley Cyrus for best pop solo performance, will headline The Celebration of Mimi Live, an exclusive residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas. Performances are scheduled to run April 12–27.
A release announcing the news cited the residency as “in celebration” of the anniversary of her chart topping The Emancipation of Mimi, but this April will be one year shy of a milestone 20th anniversary for the album, which hit shelves on April 12, 2005. Still, it’s no wonder why Carey would want to toast the occasion early, as that 14-track effort is widely regarded as a comeback album which brought the elusive chanteuse back into familiar territory at the top of the charts. Fueled by the No. 1 single “We Belong Together,” the album debuted at No.

The death of Iron Man at the end of Joe and Anthony Russo's ultra-blockbuster "Avengers: Endgame" is tragic, but not because he sacrificed his life. It's tragic because Tony Stark, with his dying breath, transformed from an ostensible hero into a mass murderer.
"Avengers: Endgame" climaxed with a lengthy battle sequence wherein every known, living character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe assembled to fight the genocidal villain Thanos (Josh Brolin) and his minions. During that battle, heroes and villains fought each other for control of the Infinity Stones, a collection of six magical gems that give their owner the power to do literally anything. In the previous film, "Avengers: Infinity War," Thanos gathered the stones together and used them, with a snap of his fingers, to erase half the population of the universe. Thanos was concerned with dwindling natural resources, overpopulation, and the resulting diminishing quality of life everywhere.

In the previous film, "Avengers: Infinity War," Thanos gathered the stones together and used them, with a snap of his fingers, to erase half the population of the universe. Thanos was concerned with dwindling natural resources, overpopulation, and the resulting diminishing quality of life everywhere.

Jonathan Hickman is the most rock-solid superstar working in comics today. He is the mastermind behind arguably the best Marvel crossover of all time in Secret Wars. His splashy return to Marvel from a post-Secret Wars creator-owned break was the biggest event in superhero books in the last half-decade, relaunching a stagnant X-Men line with a monster hit in House of X and Powers of X. But X-Men wasn’t his only pitch when he came back to Marvel: he also had a big cosmic idea that Marvel greenlit alongside HoX/PoX: G.O.D.S., a sweeping new series revamping the cosmology of the Marvel Universe and reimagining how cosmic entities like Eternity or the Living Tribunal interact with the heroes we see every day. We talked with Hickman about his big idea and just how small it can be.

Maple Syrup Massacre is an editorial series where Joe Lipsett dissects the themes, conventions and contributions of new and classic Canadian horror films. Spoilers follow…
Three films into his feature film career, Brandon Cronenberg has established himself as an innovative and confronting auteur in his own right. When he debuted his 2012 feature debut Antiviral, however, the quality of the film was a secondary topic; first and foremost he was compared to his famous father, David Cronenberg.
There’s a obvious level of cynicism involved whenever a celebrity’s child enters the same field (let’s all agree to bury the term “nepo baby” and move on with our lives). But in the case of Cronenberg junior, there’s an interesting argument to be made about how his father’s work influenced Brandon’s creative approach, and where he’s established himself in his own right.

“Three,” a socially relevant, teen musical drama that celebrates diversity is the latest production from Paramount’s Israeli shingle Ananey Studios.
Making its debut at Mipcom and sold internationally by Beta Film, the show follows three 16-year-olds in Tel Aviv from very different cultural backgrounds: Yasmin, an Arab Muslim girl; Ella, a Jewish girl and daughter of a notorious criminal; and Dalina, the daughter of asylum seekers from Eritrea.
Together, they form the band Talatha (Three in Arabic), pooling their diverse talents and backgrounds to create original music.
Series creators Michal Cooper Keren and Lior Yaron came up with the series after they were invited to conduct a writing workshop in Jaffa, in a mixed residential neighborhood that is home to Arabs, Jews, and asylum seekers from Africa.

That’s where Woody, Buzz, Bo Peep, Bullseye, Bunny, Ducky, Forky, Green Aliens, Jesse, Rex, and Slinky Dog (sans voice talent) watch the animated toy versions of the players compete on a miniature field and react on the sidelines. Like it or not, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will definitely remember the Samuel. L Jackson-led Secret Invasion. Whether it be as the show that sent Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) off in underwhelming style, or as the six-part series that created the MCU’s most Op character in Super Skrull G’iah (Emilia Clarke), there’s a lot to discuss now the final credits have rolled.
As with all these Disney+ series, Secret Invasion set the stage for upcoming outings, including The Marvels and Captain America: New World Order. However, you might’ve missed a major tease of a whole franchise hiding in plain sight. If the surprise reveal that Ms. Marvel’s Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) could be a mutant has taught us anything, it’s to hunt in the most unlikely places for the X-Men. In the Secret Invasion finale, it looks like a case of X marks the spot.

After starting on a serious note by showcasing the complexities introduced by the infiltration of the shapeshifting alien Skrulls into human society, the second episode of Disney+’s latest release, Secret Invasion, dials it down a bit to showcase the implications of the invasion in its true sense. In the previous episode, we saw that as a result of consecutive terrorist attacks conducted by a rebel sect of Skrull led by the renegade Gravik, Nick Fury was forced to return to Earth from his aerospace defense mission in space.
Fury learned from his friend, former Skrull leader Talos, and agent Maria Hill that the rebels have created and are using the organization ‘A.A.R.’ (Americans Against Russia) as a front and are planning a bombing of Moscow, which could spark a vicious war between two nations. Talos’ estranged daughter, G’iah, has defected to Gravik’s side and taken...

It’d be quite a stretch to say that Black Mirror season 6 has gone a bit subtle with its existential dread. What has, however, actually changed in the latest season of this one-of-a-kind sci-fi is how it maneuvers the delicious human follies we time and again come back to be treated to. The change in the demeanor of Netflix’s revolutionary and arguably most fearless show is glaring in how it intentionally decides to look away from the horrors it has handpicked for its beyond-disturbed characters. But make no mistake! Season 6 is just as nefarious with the predicaments it lands the characters in as Black Mirror has always been. The episode that stood out to me as a decidedly dark story of a seemingly normal person’s deadly corruption was Beyond The Sea. The Josh Hartnett and Aaron Paul starrer may have also pretty casually introduced a jaw-dropping easter egg...

The brand spankin’ new 12-issue arc begins Today, June 13, 2023!
The Summer of Symbiotes goes Unlimited! On a freezing, snow-covered night a Holy Man comes to the aid of a mother and father terrified to kiss their little girl goodnight. Will he offer salvation or the ultimate destruction?
Writer Clay McLeod Chapman tells Bloody Disgusting, “The character of Venom has always been rooted in horror for me, so it’s been an absolute pleasure to inject the Infinity series with a little dose of devilry. I do believe Reagan MacNeil said it best, and I’m paraphrasing here, “What a lovely day for an vexorcism.”

Minor spoilers for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" follow.
At the beginning of James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3," the 32nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the title characters are going about their daily lives, listening to pop music, when a mysterious glowing gold alien (Will Poulter) appears in space. As he flies toward their home -- an enclosed space outpost called Knowwhere -- Heart's "Barracuda" plays on the soundtrack.
Sharp-eyed MCU aficionados will likely recognize this character as a member of Sovereign, a species of genetically engineered, impeccably regal aliens that like to tout their own perfection. In a post-credits stinger in "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2," the Sovereign High Priestess Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) was seen tending to a large, mechanical cocoon. She said that she was creating the most powerful Sovereign yet, and intends to name him Adam.

Infinity Pool has hit VOD, and audiences are discovering this weird little movie about societal standards and how we maneuver through them daily. Brandon Cronenberg has given us a great look at how people with larger bank accounts can skirt the niceties and live however they are feeling at the moment. With some nice sci-fi thrown in, this little story paints a larger picture of how people who grew up with nothing can quickly become addicted to a lavish lifestyle. Once you’ve finished it, what else should you watch? Here are some suggestions.
Warning!!! There Will Be Spoilers For Infinity Pool!!!!!
Timecrimes (2007)
This Spanish sci-fi film is a lot of fun. Hector is looking out his back window when he sees a girl in the woods. He runs out to help her but is attacked by a man in a trench coat with his face wrapped up.

This post contains spoilers for "Ted Lasso" season 3, episode 1.
The first episode of "Ted Lasso" season 3 (read /Film's review here) is really all about family, but not necessarily the football family that comes together out on the pitch. When Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) was originally introduced to the lackluster AFC Richmond team in the hopeful first season, he was a wide-eyed optimist and a real source of inspiration. As the seasons have gone on, Ted has become a much more dynamic, complicated individual as we, just like the team, get to know him better. In season 2, his unexplained panic attacks begin plaguing him and his divorce looms large. As Ted jokes in the season 3 premiere, he's starting to feel like "Ned Flanders doing cosplay as Ned Flanders." He's just not quite himself anymore.
The opening scene of the premiere finds Ted taking his son Henry (Gus Turner) to the airport...

The cinema release schedule in March is, in two words, quite random.
Not only is there Scream 6, a horror sequel fast-tracked following the success of a fifth outing released just 13 months ago, but there’s 65, a post-apocalyptic dinosaur thriller fronted by Adam Driver, who’d be the first to admit he’s an unexpected choice for lead.

“I thought, for me, it was the band or nothing,” Tomlinson says. “It was hard for me to imagine myself on my own. I...
