Fair attempt by John Singleton to touch on a subject Spike Lee touched on in "Do The Right Thing," but in making the movie more mainstream (i.e. getting popular black actors/rappers to glorify their roles) and more pro-black he corrupted what should be the moral of this type of film. In "Do The Right Thing," racial prejudice is shown to be absurd no matter what color is dealt with. Also, racial conflict - by any means - is also shown to be asinine and illogical. On the other hand, John Singleton's biased film gives off the vibe that the white man - even if he isn't the one pulling the trigger - is the wrongdoer.
Aside from that, poor performances by most. Surprisingly, Ice Cube was the only person I enjoyed watching.
