  • Continuity: Shortly after Will Randall told Laura Alden about what happened to him with the wolf two days before during the full moon, there is a view of the moon. But the moon is already only half full and, moreover, the moon is in the growing phase.

  • Continuity: When Raymond Alder walks up to the horses, we see the middle horse wearing a blanket, few seconds later, the blanket is gone, then the next shot the middle horse has the blanket back on.

  • Continuity: The rearing stallion at Raymond's is two different horses. When Will walks up to Raymond's horses, the prize dark bay stallion, with just a white star on his forehead and a white snip on his nose, rears up. When the camera moves back to the side shot of the rearing horse, it is now a red sorrel color with a full wide white blaze extending all the way from his forehead to his nose. Then when the camera returns to the next shot, it is the dark bay horse again.

  • Revealing mistakes: In one of the end scenes we see Stuart lunge at Will and hit the bars of another cage. The bars on that cage bend when he hits.

  • Factual errors: In the opening sequence, when Will is driving his Volvo, the sun is setting and the full moon is rising in the same part of the sky. The moon should be black, or be rising on the opposite side of the sun.

  • Continuity: When Will Randall is at the zoo he has some whiskers; in the next scene when he is running as a wolf in the park they disappear; in the next scene they return.

  • Continuity: When Will is talking with Maude in his office, he puts on his glasses. In the very next shot, he is not wearing them.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Stewart attacks Will with a pitchfork, the tines bend and show that it is a prop. In the next shot, the tines are straight and are now sticking into Will's shoulder.

  • Continuity: Laura's pantyhose keep changing throughout the last shots of the film.

  • Revealing mistakes: After Will picks up Stewart in the pond and throws him at the stone stairs, it is obviously a mannequin that hits and bounces off the stairs.

  • Continuity: Shortly after Will hits the wolf, we see the Volvo's front steady parking light. As he exits the car and shuts the door, the light is now blinking. When he continues walking towards the wolf, the light has once again become steady.

  • Plot holes: After he becomes a wolf, Will's hearing is super-sensitive. But when Stewart is behind Will with hedge clippers, he snips them, then growls, and Will doesn't hear it (which is why Laura has to shoot Stewart instead).

  • Revealing mistakes: When Will switches off his nightstand lamp, the lamp on the other side of the bed turns off by itself.
