Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

A bride and groom have sex, while still fully dressed in their wedding clothes. No nudity is in this scene, but their actions and noises of passion are very graphic.

Charles (Hugh Grant) and Carrie (Andie MacDowell) have sex twice. They are shown in bed kissing, wearing revealing clothing, but no nudity.

Violence & Gore

A bride punches Charles (Hugh Grant), which knocks him down.

Profanity

The F-word is used continually throughout the entire movie (most often used in a humorous manner)

There is a lot of alcohol consumption during the weddings, with minor characters acting slightly drunk.

Some characters smoke. Including Fiona (Kristin Scott Thomas).

Mildly frightening sad scene when a character faints during wedding speeches. The characters standing near him realize he's died.
