Tim Meadows plays Sammy Davis Jr. in this movie. He often performed as Sammy Davis Jr. in "Saturday Night Live" (1975), which is where the original Wayne's World sketch comes from.

Goofs:

Errors in geography: When Wayne pulls in at the gas station, across the way can be seen a building with the lettering "Bonita High School, Home of the Bearcats". Bonita High School is in LaVerne in California, a long way from Illinois where the film is set.

Party on - again!

The mega success of Wayne's World gave birth to its funny sequel: aptly titled Wayne's World 2. Not exactly matching blows with its predecessor, Wayne's World 2 still has a charm and sense of humor of its own that make it a highly entertaining, classic rock-filled, and laugh-filled hour and a half.

A year has past and Wayne (Mike Meyers) and Garth (Dana Carvey) have done some growing in the meantime ("I'm a little older, I'm a little wiser"), having moved out of their parents house and setting up camp in an abandoned doll factory. One night, Wayne is visited by a "weird naked Indian" in a dream and is taken to see Jim Morrison. When told to ask him a question about his life, Wayne asks what he is supposed to do with his life. The answer: Wayne shall put on a concert with some big headliners (Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Van Halen....). Naturally, wacky Meyers and Carvey antics ensue as Wayne tries to juggle putting on a huge concert and dealing with Cassandra's (Tia Carrere - "shwing!") sleazy record producer Bobby (Christopher Walken).

Wayne's World 2 is a very funny film but is a slightly disappointing follow-up to the hilarious and inventive original Wayne's World. We have seen a good portion of the gags that are featured in Wayne's World 2 before in the original film. Also, while the original Wayne's World features its share of spoofing gags, Wayne's World 2 relies too heavily on parodies. Where is the originality of the first Wayne's World film? Moreover, a handful of the gags just are not funny - something that is not a problem in the original Wayne's World.

Still, Meyers and Carvey are great in their roles and Wayne's World 2 has plenty of laughs to offer: the aging roadie Dell Preston (Ralph Brown) helps out Wayne and Garth's concert while losing his mind, Wayne meets Cassandra's father (James Hong), Chris Farley has an extended role, Garth gets a girlfriend, and more! Wayne's World 2 might not measure up to the original Wayne's World but it is entertaining - a perfect film for a quick laugh and an overall fun way to pass the time.
