Trivia for
Trespass (1992)

advertisement
  • The title was changed from "Looter" shortly before release to avoid any connection with the 1992 riots in Los Angeles that had recently occurred.

  • Loosely based on The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948).

  • The photo of the church within the newspaper clipping with the caption St. Anthony's Catholic Church is actually Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, located in Fort Smith, Arkansas, on Garrison Ave.

  • Jazz musician John Zorn originally scored the entire film, complete with multiple cues and even scored both the original and alternate endings. As with many other films, Walter Hill was unhappy with the end result and hired old pal Ry Cooder to rescore the whole film.

  • In the original script the character of Lucky was actually called Lucy and was King James' girlfriend. Also, Vince and Don were not from Fort Smith, Arkansas but from Ashland, Kentucky.
