• Revealing mistakes: When Alice is in the scalding hot bath tub, the steam is clearly coming from beneath/around the tub.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Obvious stunt double when Leroy is being attacked by Prince for the second time.

• Continuity: When Leroy is in the kitchen talking to Ruby and Fool, the position of the map in his shirt pocket changes a few times in the scene.
  
  
• Continuity: When Fool goes over and starts throwing rocks into the pond, the brown paper bag beside his foot keeps moving between shots.
  
  
• Continuity: When Leroy barricades the metal door, her uses a mop. He puts the mop inside a drawer, and the mop head hangs out of the drawer. Later on when the Woman and Man come back, we can now see the mop head is tucked inside the drawer.
  
  
• Continuity: The items on the corner of the couch (cushion, throw, etc.) keep changing position as Prince first goes to attack Leroy.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: When the police car pulls up to enquire about the van, in a side shot of the car you can see a crew member reflected in the back window.
  
  
• Continuity: When Roach writes "ALICE" in the white wall, in the first shot he writes it neatly. In the next shot the writing is very messy, then neat again in the next shot.
  
  
• Continuity: When Daddy tells Prince to shut up, the amount of blood on his chin changes between shots.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Fool is climbing inside the chimney (just before him and Alice descend down and hit Mommy), you can see the brick chimney wobble as he climbs in.
  
  
• Continuity: When Mommy and Daddy have lost Alice, they look in the kitchen to find her, and Mommy starts opening up some cabinets and in the process she leaves some of the doors open. Then in the next shot, the cabinet doors that are open have now changed, and some doors that were open in the previous shot are now closed.
  
  
• Continuity: When Alice is thrown by Mommy onto her bed, the back of her dress is open. However, the next shot shows the back of her dress done up.
  
  
• Plot holes: Why is it possible for the people under the stairs to bust through the walls and stairs but not through the wood slats that keeps them in downstairs? Especially after the boards have been weakened by gunshots.
  
  
• Continuity: When one of the people from under the stairs bursts through the wall, trying to attack Mommy, the hole it makes in the wall has wood splinters hanging all around it, yet in the next shot it is completely free of any splinters and looks much neater.
  
  
• Continuity: When Daddy gets tricked by the coins pushed into the candlesticks, it shows the same coin falling from the same candlestick twice.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Obvious stunt double (different build, hair color) of The Woman as the people under the stairs are attacking her.
  
  
• Continuity: When Fool falls down the basement stairs, at the top of the stairs he has on one shirt, when he gets to the middle of the stairs, he has on another shirt, and when he finally lands at the bottom, he has on the first shirt again.
  
  
• Continuity: When Fool enters the basement looking for Spence, he turns the TV around, and attempts to look through the fencing, which is wood AND the metal wire. Later in the basement, one of the "people" reach through the fencing and turns the TV back to face the "cage" area - the metal is now missing.
  
  
• Continuity: Fool hits the Woman with a fire poker on her shin but she screams in pain and grabs and rubs her knee.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: After Alice stabs the Woman, you can see the Woman removing the knife but you can see she's removing it from the side of her body.
  
  
• Continuity: When Fool turns on the lighter and goes to the cellar, he finds a TV and pushes it to the side. In that moment you can see a Band Aid on his right thumb. In the next scene and throughout the rest of the movie, the Band Aid is gone.
  
  
• Continuity: When Alice is telling Fool about the boys downstairs in the bathroom, she begins to cry and tears stream down her face. In the next shot the tears are gone and it doesn't look like she was crying at all.
  
  
• Continuity: When the man blasts away the trap door in the wall, pieces of the door are left in place. But when he walks up to the wall to yell at Roach, the area surrounding the hole in the wall is perfectly square as if the door was never there.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Alice's kneepads are visible when she's cleaning up the blood.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Leroy is being attacked by the dog behind the couch, one shot clearly shows the dog to be a stuffed animal.
  
  
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: When they discover the dog is dead, the Woman says "Oh My God, Prince!" but her mouth doesn't.
  
  
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: As Fool is attacked by Prince he says "Alice, just go!" but his mouth doesn't.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Kneepads visible on Alice when she falls from the ceiling and attack the Woman.
  
  
• Continuity: When Fool and Leroy first encounter Prince, they secure him in the room beside the kitchen, with the door to the outside closed. Yet when Mummy and Daddy return, the dog somehow has managed to get out of the super-secure house to greet them.
  
  
• Continuity: When Fool attacks Daddy with the poker, it snaps in half. When he runs downstairs it is completely intact again.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Fool hits Daddy with the "iron" poker, it snaps in half and is obviously made of thin wood. Fool stops briefly, and looks off set in surprise, before continuing with the scene.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Fool and Alice are sliding down the chimney after Fool hits Daddy with the brick, you can see the cable supporting the two as they descend.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Fool is in the bathroom and the father pokes his head through the door (after firing a rifle at it) turns to Fool who smashes a concrete slab on his head. The blood mark in on the father's right temple, but he was clearly hit in the middle.
  
  
• Continuity: When Daddy throws Fool into the cage full of people, his apron is all bloody. When he goes upstairs to check on Alice, his apron is clean.
  
  
• Continuity: In the scene when Leroy and Fool are breaking into the house for the first time. The glass that Leroy breaks has nothing on it. As soon as they make their way in the house, leaves appear on the outside of the glass.
  
  
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: When the Man and Woman return home, the Man locks the door behind him. Three distinct clicks can be heard, but there is clearly only one lock.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: Alice and Ruby are standing by the cellar door, and Ruby starts to walk to the front door, Alice begins to laugh before regaining composure.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When fool slides down the steps a second time, you can obviously see it is a shot from earlier in the movie, where he is wearing a red striped sweater. However, that day in the movie, he is wearing a bright green vest, with no red sweater.
  
  
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Alice and Fool are going through the walls when she whispers "Shh, if he can't hear us, he can't shoot us." Her mouth did not move at all.
  
  

• Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: When Leroy is thrown down the steps after Fool, he clearly lifts his head as he slides, although he is supposed to be dead.
