The studio was nervous about Robin Givens being cast as Jacqueline. At the time, she was labeled as a cold-hearted golddigger by the media and the general public during her marriage to Mike Tyson. Hudlin felt her public image made her perfect for the part because she could be seen as a strong woman who could control Marcus.

Sexy, seductive, witty, glamorous, and hilarious

BOOMERANG is one of the best Eddie Murphy movies I have ever seen. I laughed so hard when Marcus (Eddie Murphy) said, "Kirby!" aggressively. In my opinion, all the women looked very beautiful in the dressy clothing they wore -- Especially Christie (Lela Rochon) and Jacqueline (Robin Givens). Another thing that made me laugh were the confrontations between Marcus and Yvonne (Tisha Campbell). I especially loved Tyler (Martin Lawrence). His act was REALLY funny. It was funny, but a LITTLE crude. This movie was very sexy, seductive, witty, glamorous, and hilarious in my opinion. In conclusion, I recommend this movie to anyone who's a fan of Eddie Murphy. You're in for a real treat and a LOT of laughs, so, go out to the video store, rent it or buy it, kick back with a friend, and watch it.
