The overseas home video distributors ruined the film's suspense by putting pictures of Jackie Shroff's on the VHS video cover wearing his black hat and long black jacket. This image of Jackie was only to be shown in the film's climax.
After 100 Days, the director Partho Ghosh then made another movie 101 Days and the film was completed in 1990s but not released. 100 Days was director Partho Ghosh's first hindi film.
Jackie Shroff was accused of forcing Partho Gosh to make his character a positive one in the climax. Jackie denied the allegation and stated that he signed the film with unknown director because he loved the script.
When the film was announced it starred Javed Jaffery and Neelam in the lead roles. But Neelam had problems adjusting her dates and left the film. Then the script went thru changes and Jackie and Madhuri were signed. Javed was now given a supporting role.
The film was a box office success.
