• Continuity: In the Double Deuce office, there is blood dripping from Pat McGurn's nose before Dalton hits him.
  
  
• Continuity: Dalton is fighting one of Wesley's goons in the old man's house. The bad guy has a large knife, but D soon relieves him of it. A couple of seconds later, it is back in the goon's hand, and Dalton uses the same move to take it from him again.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: Reflection of lighting truck and crew on the side of the mustang when backing out of the driveway at Red's auto parts store.

• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Wade Garrett rides up to the Double Deuce on his motorcycle, he isn't wearing a helmet. Missouri law requires all motorcyclists to wear helmets.
  
  
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: During the dance scene with Denise in the Double Duece (following the fire at Red's Auto Parts store); Jeff Healy brushes off Denise's hand but the music, specifically the guitar keeps playing.
  
  
• Errors in geography: Supposed to be set in Jasper, Missouri, yet if you look carefully in one scene, you can see a road sign with a California highway marker in the background.
  
  
• Factual errors: The Ford station wagons crushed in the car dealership scene are purported to be new cars in the movie...but in fact when the film was made they were all about 4 or 5 years old at least, possibly as old as 1979 models.
  
  
• Factual errors: At the time the movie was made, Missouri used two different license plates, maroon for cars, black for trucks. Emmet's truck - and possibly others - has maroon car plates.
  
  
• Continuity: During the fight in the Double Deuce office, Dalton's shirt is torn and bloody in the exact spot before being slashed by Tinker.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: In the scene after Jimmy hits the portly Double Deuce bouncer with a pool cue, you can clearly see that Wade Garrett is pretending to be struck when in fact, he is not.
