Karen Shepard didn't want her character to die in her fight against Cynthia Rothrock as was planned, claiming it would be harmful to her career. To appease her, Corey Yuen pretended to film her running away after the fight, but later filmed her character's death via a stunt double.

Cynthia Rothrock was originally supposed to act in Jackie Chan's Armour of God, but due to Chan's injuries halting production of the movie, Rothrock was re-assigned to play as the lead actress in this film.
Whilst filming a transitioning shot of his character falling from a plane, the wire supporting Biao Yuen snapped and he landed face-first upon the mattress padding with his lower body bent over top of him, prompting crew members to fear he had broken his spine. Biao, who was unharmed, claims it was the most dangerous escapade of his entire film career.
According to Melvin Wong, the airplane hangar fight between him and Biao Yuen was "guest directed" by none other than Sammo Kam-Bo Hung.
