Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

Frequent references to, and glimpses of, a Playboy magazine throughout the movie, but the picture shown is fairly tame--no actual nudity.

Some discussion of sex ("Do you want to go to bed?", etc.). Chris's boyfriend Mike comments that her legs are joined at the knees.

A man is called a penis.

A boy says a girl has large breasts.

A boy is scene talking to a girl who appears to be a prostitute.

A boy says a comment about raping.

Two people are scene deeply kissing.

Violence & Gore

A man is punched in the face quite hard.

A man chases another man with a gun (shots are fired) and in later scenes, punches him.

A man throws a knife at a boys shoe (not graphic) and is later referenced to. We see the boy get stitches but nothing is visible.

A janitor gets punched in the face.

A man continues to say that he'll "take care" of the kids.

A kid hits a kid in the shoulder many times, but is used as a "knock it off" method.

A babysitter tells a pretty graphic horror story that includes a man scraping off the faces of children and the babysitter.

A man is scene with a gun in his care.

A college student says that he is going to beat the crap out of a highschooler but doesn't.

Profanity

About 10 total swear words (if I counted correctly), and most of them come in pairs: "Are you sh!tting me?" (twice), "Don't f*ck with ..." (twice), "b!tch" (two or three times),

We see alchohol being drank at a party.

We see many people smoking on the street.

The children are in various levels of peril throughout their trip to the city; for example, their tow-truck driver fires a gun during a domestic dispute, they are chased by criminals, they find themselves in the middle of gang fight, and the young girl climbs out of the window in a tall building.
