It was the late Bob Saget’s birthday on Friday. To commemorate the occasion, former castmate and friend John Stamos posted a pic that brought together the television family from Full House.
In the photo are the Olsen twins, who were part of the original series, but not its sequel, Fuller House.
“This was taken as we gathered for his funeral,” Stamos wrote. “Though Bob wasn’t there physically, his spirit was unmistakably present, wrapping us in warmth and shared memories that drew both laughter and tears.
“That day, each of us felt the weight of his absence and the strength of the bond he nurtured among us.
“Bob was the heart of our “Full House” family. His legacy of kindness and compassion was evident in the faces around me, (on Dumbo) in the gentle ways we supported one another, echoing the love he always extended. We celebrated a life...

Although there are many K-dramas worthy of viewers' attention, not many people dive deeper into the genre than the 2010s. While some worry about the outdated visuals, others are afraid of hurtful stereotypes and prejudiced storylines.
While both concerns are valid, the stories these shows tell are entertaining enough to keep anyone glued to their screens, and nostalgic enough to make viewers long for the days long gone. If you want to give an older K-drama a try, here are 10 you might want to start with.
Winter Sonata (2002)
When Joon Sang first appeared in the lives of 3 high school friends, he was cold and had trouble opening up, but decided to let them all in anyway. The friendship didn't last long, though, as he disappeared as abruptly as he arrived. 10 years later, they had all moved on with their lives, but he reappeared to bring back the strongest memories and feelings.

Lori Loughlin recently spoke about John Stamos, who claimed the two Full House actors made out on a rollercoaster. Even if he joked, she’s allegedly fuming about it. She played the role of Rebecca Donaldson Katsopolis, and he played the part of Uncle Jesse on Netflix and ABC. Five years after the sensational college admission scandal that landed her in federal prison for nearly two months, Lori Loughlin is following up her reemergence on television with her first major magazine interview since she was at the center of the national controversy.
Loughlin, 59, has appeared on the cover of the latest issue of First for Women and, in the accompanying article, she discussed her life in 2024 without directly addressing the scandal.
“Every day, we’re met with different obstacles. But, for me, it’s like that song says, ‘I get knocked down, but I get up again,'” she said. “Nobody said life was going to be a breeze; we all make mistakes, but the important thing is to persevere.”

CBS sitcom "The Bob Newhart Show" was a staple for American TV audiences of the '70s, thanks in large part to clever writing and Newhart's much-loved performance as psychologist and comedic straight man Bob Hartley. The show ran for six seasons from 1972 to 1978, but it had a surprisingly long pop cultural afterlife. Characters from "The Bob Newhart Show" have popped up in everything from "Murphy Brown" to "St. Elsewhere" to "Alf," though their most famous reappearance came in the jokey "Newhart" finale in 1990. In it, Newhart wakes up in bed next to his wife from the previous series and discovers that this entire sitcom was all an elaborate dream. "The Bob Newhart Show," it turned out, was his real world.

Candace Cameron Bure has revealed she “almost died” while trying to pull off a stunt on Netflix’s Full House reboot Fuller House. The actress joined her former co-stars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber on the latest episode of their How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast, where she opened up about the scary incident. “I almost died!” Bure said (per Parade). “That’s not even an exaggeration,” she added, noting that she still has “Ptsd” from the experience. She then described the stunt in which her character, D.J. Tanner, rode a zipline across the show’s living room set. However, she said the rig wasn’t properly set up and ended with an almost fatal accident. “During rehearsal, the rig was not set up correctly, and there was no safety stop on the end of [the zipline],” Bure recalled. “So when I landed off the zipline and stopped, the whole mechanism, which is all metal and very,...

There are umpteen shows in the genre of family comedy-drama. Full House, Modern Family, That 70s Show, The Wonder Years, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, etc. are shows that cater to the above-mentioned genre, and each show is based on a different premise, yet the core remains the same: family members dealing with each other. The Upshaws is back with part five of the show, which further takes the viewers through the Upshaw family and the dilemmas they go through daily. Created by Regina Y. Hicks and Wanda Sykes from the start, part five of this Netflix original series was released on April 17, 2024.

When Full House legend Bob Saget’s death was revealed in 2022, the world was in shock. TV fans across the country mourned the loss of the Tanner Patriarch.
But, imagine how hard the news of Bob Saget’s unexpected death hit his friends and family. Lori Loughlin recently opened up about how she learned of her co-star’s passing, and the details were heartbreaking.
The former When Calls The Heart actress joined Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber this month on the How Rude Tanneritos podcast.

When Calls the Heart Season 10 ended with what can only be described as a tease about Lori Loughlin’s return as Abigail Stanton Now there are questions about whether or not fans would get their wish during Season 11.
In a new interview with TV Insider, Erin Krakow, who headlines the Hallmark hit and serves as an executive producer, admitted that she would love for Loughlin to return as Abigail.
Sadly, it doesn’t sound like a return is in the cards soon, with Krakow being cautious about getting “people’s hopes up too high.”
“Abigail does not currently return in Season 11, and I hope that doesn’t feel like a bait and switch for anyone when they see Gowen go to her door at the end of Season 10,” Krakow affirmed, before teasing how Gowen will navigate the aftermath of that development.
“It is more about Gowen’s journey to self-discovery and self-forgiveness.

Blogger Kelly Rizzo, the widow of beloved actor Bob Saget, has addressed the criticism she faced for her new relationship after Saget’s death.
After a slew of ugly comments that condemned Rizzo’s new romance, Rizzo, who was married to Saget from 2018 until he died in 2022, took to TikTok to defend herself against those who claimed she moved on too quickly.
In a poignant video shared to TikTok, Rizzo responded to critics, “Unless you are a widow or a widower, you truly have absolutely no place and no right to comment on this because you do not know what it’s like… You just don’t understand the incredibly complex and difficult and dynamic thoughts and feelings that come up during this entire process… you feel guilty and ashamed even thinking about starting to date again, but yet you also feel lonely, and so you want to do it.

Larry David’s popular HBO sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm is closing the book this season and the final year of the show has been in full swing. This year would also, unfortunately, see the passing of one of the show’s stars and close friend of Larry David, Richard Lewis. As the show makes its final run, it would continue to bring on guest appearances of certain actors to play over-the-top versions of themselves. David would previously have hilarious clashes with famous guest stars like Shaquille O’Neal, Michael J. Fox and the Seinfeld cast. This year brought in Full House star Lori Loughlin as she pokes fun at her college admissions scandal from 2019 (which would also involve Felicity Huffman).
Loughlin uses Larry as a sponsor to enter a country club as she loves to play golf, and hilariously, Loughlin hasn’t learned a thing from her experiences as she keeps cheating.

In Sunday’s episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry agreed to sponsor Lori Loughlin at his golf club, where the very game Full House actress proceeded to parody her role in the now-infamous Varsity Blues college admissions scandal.
In March 2019, TV’s Aunt Becky was implicated in the scandal when she and her husband fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to get their two daughters into the University of Southern California, disguising the bribes as “donations” with the help of college admissions counselor William “Rick” Singer. Lori Loughlin poked fun at herself on Sunday’s (March 10) episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm as she parodied her involvement in the college admissions scandal. On the March 10 episode of Curb‘s final season, Loughlin played a version of herself. As per Deadline, she is introduced by Ted Danson, who asks Larry David to help get Loughlin into his country club. Despite having served prison time for her participation in the college scandal, Loughin’s membership is approved thanks to David’s passionate plea to the club board. However, the Full House star begins to show her true colors once David plays golf with her. Firstly, she shows off a special flag that allows her access to the fairway on a carts-only day. And later, it’s revealed she has a disabled persons plate on her Porsche. She claims she was granted disabled status due to having Epstein-Barr. Later in the episode,...

Lori Loughlin cheats at golf and flexes a bogus handicap permit in the latest episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” which features a hilarious cameo from the “Full House” star poking fun at her role in the 2019 college admissions scandal, for which she served a two-month prison sentence.
Loughlin became the face of the Varsity Blues scandal when she and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud after they were accused of paying $500,000 to get their daughters into the University of Southern California, using falsified athletic profiles. They were among dozens of parents swept up in the investigation of admissions consultant Rick Singer, who admitted to bribing and cheating in order to get his clients’ children into prestigious universities.

[This story contains spoilers from the sixth episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12.]
Curb Your Enthusiasm is known for inviting guest actors onto the HBO improv comedy series to play versions of themselves and go toe-to-toe with Larry David’s onscreen persona.
The latest actress to do so was Lori Loughlin, who came on the sixth episode of the 12th and final season to confront her post-college admissions scandal reputation in Hollywood. The setup was that Loughlin, who loves to play golf, was being black-balled from L.A. country clubs due to her role in the 2019 scandal. (Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli were among the high-profile parents charged with paying fixers to get their children into top U.S. universities, nicknamed Operation Varsity Blues by the FBI.)
So Loughlin needs a sponsor, and who better than Larry — someone who has gotten so many second chances himself? “You know I’m a champion of the underdog,” he says.

Some significant changes are on the horizon for Gac Family, and it’s good news for Candace Cameron Bure fans who miss her in mystery roles like Aurora Teagarden Mysteries.
As you’ll recall, Bure’s Hallmark exit ended her tenure in the mystery movie franchise.
Bure took on a pivotal role at Gac Family, one of Hallmark’s biggest competitors.
Deadline revealed Tuesday Gac Family that it will launch its first-ever mystery movie franchise, and the title is pretty self-indulgent.
Great American Mysteries is the name.
As for the first title in the new strand of movies:
The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Winemaker.
What is The Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case for the Winemaker about?
It’s not a bad title and sounds pretty Hallmark-y, so it’s on-brand for Gac Family, we guess.
The most exciting aspect of the movie is Bure’s involvement.

Andrew Keegan was one of the many mid-tier teeny-bopper heartthrobs of the 1990s, with roles in Camp Nowhere, sitcom Thunder Alley and, near the end of his popularity in the decade, a smaller role in 10 Things I Hate About You, not to mention spots on quintessential ‘90s TV like Full House, Step by Step and Boy Meets World. The dude had his fans to be sure, but a cult following is taking it a little too far…

You’d be excused if you didn’t notice that Netflix recently added the forgotten sitcom My Wife and Kids to its servers. With the labor stoppages over and TV back up and running once again, streaming services are pushing full steam ahead to get regularly scheduled programming back on the market. It doesn’t seem like there would be any room for a show more known for its Nick at Nite run than its original broadcast on ABC, but anyone who ignores the Damon Wayans-centered sitcom is missing out on one of the funniest, most chaotic comedies of the 2000s.
At first glance, My Wife and Kids looks like your typical comedian vehicle from around this time period. So many stand-up comics got their own network sitcom that the genre turned into TV junk food during the late 20th century. Everybody Loves Raymond, Home Improvement, The King of Queens,...

Who better to play a New York high society socialite than Chloë Sevigny, the former club kid turned fashionista who was profiled by Jay McInerney for The New Yorker at 19?

When Roseanne premiered in 1988, the ABC series offered viewers a bold new take on the traditional family sitcom.
In the era of Full House, The Cosby Show, and Growing Pains, the Conners reminded Americans that not all households are filled with affluent parents imparting valuable life lessons to their grateful, obedient children.
The Simpsons often receives the lion's share of the credit for expanding our notion of what a sitcom family could look like.
But it's worth noting that Roseanne beat Homer and company to the punch when it came to mining comedic gold out of suburban dysfunction.
The show was a critical success right out of the gate, and over the course of its nine-season run, it developed into a reliable ratings juggernaut.
In its second season, Roseanne stunned skeptics by knocking The Cosby Show out of the top spot on the Nielsen charts.

In the 1995 movie "Waterworld," Kevin Costner was the draw in more ways than one. To much of the audience, he was still the glamorous movie star who had managed to pull off a blockbuster "Robin Hood" movie despite his inability to successfully nail an English accent. To others, he seemed like he might be a potential trainwreck on the verge of derailment. "Waterworld" had fallen victim to many behind-the-scenes tales of sinking sets, director fights, and Costner rewriting the script to make himself look better. Ultimately, for one reason or another, enough people were curious about the film that it turned a profit. However difficult he may have been behind the scenes, the star turned out to still have it.
Within the movie, however, the person everyone wants to see is Enola, a nine year-old girl whose back tattoo features an encoded map to the last bit of dry land on a post-climate change world.

Remember that scene in Natural Born Killers in which the Juliette Lewis character enters a Married… with Children-style sitcom, with Rodney Dangerfield playing her dad? Imagine a whole movie based on that concept, add tons of violence and gore — not to mention gags about Christ and Catholicism, a tray-full of crystal meth and, in one late sequence, a dog that gets decapitated by a shotgun blast — and you’ll get an idea of what’s in store while watching the Sundance Midnight selection, Krazy House.
As over-the-top as that already sounds, the film is even more exhausting to sit through — like a hard-r Saturday Night Live sketch that’s been taken way too far, to the point you’re just hoping that it stops. Relentless and off-putting, the English-language debut of Dutch hitmakers Steffen Haars and Flip van der Kuil is unlikely to land a wide audience in the U.

Actor John Stamos has shared his support for the ‘Barbie’ movie following director Greta Gerwig and star Margot Robbie’s Oscar snubs. “This one goes out to Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie who crafted a film that was both a critical success and a cultural phenomenon, delving into feminist themes through the lens of Barbie and challenging patriarchal norms,” the ‘Full House’ actor captioned an Instagram video upload, reports ‘People’ magazine.

Do you remember the show "Raising Dad"? The 2001-2002 single-season series from The WB grabbed my attention because it was another show starring "Full House" star Bob Saget, but would also serve as the gateway to two actors who would become all-time favorites of mine: Kat Dennings and Brie Larson. When it was announced that the latter was going to appear in "Fast X," I couldn't resist bringing up her history of playing a hot rodder in the Disney Channel Original Movie "Right on Track," and I'm always elated when people realize that Larson is one of the members of the Six Chicks clique in "13 Going on 30" and one of the popular girls in "Sleepover."

The bad news about Peacock’s Ted prequel, also called Ted, is that all of its worst instincts are apparent from the jump. For one thing, its premiere clocks in at 50 minutes — not inherently an unreasonable run time, but a baffling one for a TV outing that otherwise unfolds like a half-hour sitcom. For another, that near-hour is front-loaded with the show’s most self-consciously “offensive” material: hoary jokes about derogatory terms and racist stereotypes, all delivered with a smirk that’s daring you, just daring you, to get outraged by any of it.
But if you can push past the initial tedium, the good (or at least less bad) news about Ted is that the episodes that follow represent a marked improvement. Sometimes, as when it leans on absurdity over abrasiveness or goofiness over saltiness, it’s possible to make out a decent comedy buried in there somewhere. If...

John Stamos is feeling nostalgic about his Full House family.
The 60-year-old Uncle Jesse actor took to social media on Thursday (December 21) to share a photo of his original costars together in front of the Tanner family’s home.
He noted that it was “one of the last pictures” of everyone before Bob Saget‘s tragic death at the age of 65 in 2022.

The photo features John and Bob with Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey), Candace Cameron Bure (DJ Tanner), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler). Everyone looks so happy to be together.
“One of the last pictures of all of us in San Fran in front of the iconic Painted Lady,” he wrote alongside the photo on Instagram.
The only original Full House actors who were not there were Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who did not return for the Netflix spinoff series Fuller House.
