Sex & Nudity

Two characters kiss, but nothing sexual happens.

Violence & Gore

The movie depicts strong violence including the assassination of the Archbishop Oscar Romero. We see him shot during mass and when people tried to mourn at his funeral they where shot with a sniper rifle. (blood is seen during both occasions) Salvadorian militia are shown fighting in jungles. Boobytraps are set and a few unfortunate people get caught in them, although we do not see the traps go off we see the aftermath of what they did to people. (not shown in a graphic way) A character gets shot in the shoulder we do not see a blood spatter but we do see blood on the shirt.

Profanity

Hell, damn, and other obscenities are said by the main character. Sh*t is said ocasionally.

Some characters smoke and drink.

The assassination can be quite disturbing.
