Jenny Wright originally was cast in the lead female role of Annie Rayford. Ally Sheedy replaced Wright after re-writes.

These included Worst Picture, Worst Director (Michelle Manning), Worst Actor (Judd Nelson), Worst Actress (Ally Sheedy) and Worst Supporting Actor (Scott Wilson) but failed to win a Razzie in any category.
The make and model of the motorcycle that Billy Turner (Judd Nelson) rode was a 1978 or 1979 750cc Triumph Bonneville T140E. This motorcycle is apparently the same one that was seen in An Officer and a Gentleman (1982), which was also made by Paramount Pictures.
