  • Continuity: When Dale looks at the photograph taken of her and Kirby, the perspective of the photograph looks as if it was taken by the movie camera (from the profile) rather than from her boyfriend who took the photo, which would be from the front.

  • Factual errors: The film takes place at and around Georgetown University. However, various characters in the film are seen wearing red/white varsity letter jackets, the colors of the University of Maryland, where the campus scenes were filmed. Georgetown's colors are Blue, Gray, and White.

  • Continuity: At Wendy's house on the roof she waves down at her family with her right hand. In the next shot from a different angle, she is waving with her left hand.

  • Continuity: Jules' earrings during the lovemaking scene in Mike's jeep.

  • Continuity: In the cafeteria scene when Jules, Leslie and Wendy are in line getting their food, the food on the plates changes spots.

  • Factual errors: Several references are made to Billy and other characters being in a frat, and at one point Billy re-visits his old frat house. However, as a Jesuit university Georgetown does not have frats or frat houses.

  • Revealing mistakes: The Polaroid shot of Kirby and Dale together in front of the car in the mountains is from the point of view of the film camera (the viewer's view) and not the Polaroid camera.
