  • Revealing mistakes: When Princess Lily releases her bird at the beginning of the movie, it just falls over on the grass.

  • Crew or equipment visible: When Oona flies away from Gump towards the end, a black rod (part of the fx equipment) swishes above Gump's head briefly in the top right hand side of the frame.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: Oona's opening scenes in the cave (when she's first shown as a human) are out of sync with her voice.

  • Continuity: Lily can clearly be seen as Jack prepares to jump back in the lake to retrieve the ring at the end of the "director's cut" (the correct end take without Lily can be seen in the concluding moments of the U.S. version).

  • Revealing mistakes: One of the unicorns has a brand at the top of its left hindquarters that is clearly visible in some scenes. It is a "C" from the ranch where the horses were gotten in Spain.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Lily first sees the unicorns and they start running, you can the horns wobbling on those closest to the camera.

  • Continuity: In the US version Jack's shield jumps from being in his hands to hanging from a tree as he decapitates the swamp monster before entering the giant tree. (In the Director's cut, the removed scene explaining why the shield was moved is restored).

  • Revealing mistakes: The fishing line holding the tiny light bulb which is meant to be Oona is visible when she circles in front of the bonfire around Jack in her introductory scene

  • Continuity: The imp statue on the table comes to life twice after Lilly passes the table.

  • Crew or equipment visible: Towards the end of the director's cut, where Lily places her ring onto Jack's finger, you can clearly see the camera's lens in the ring's silver reflection.

  • Crew or equipment visible: When Jack is wearing a cloak you can see a safety pin several times when the wind blows it.

  • Miscellaneous: In the U.S. version, the scene when Jack kisses Lily as she's lying on the ground is used twice, once in the beginning, then at the end, when he puts the ring on her finger, leans down, and kisses.

  • Continuity: In the credits, Lily's name is spelled Lili, as well as on the Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack. In the U.S. version, in the blurb at the beginning, her name is spelled Lily, as well as in the Scene Selection on the DVD.

  • Revealing mistakes: Throughout the movie, the Unicorns have mismatched genders. It can clearly be seen when the animals rear up in the air. One example of this is when Brown Tom is guarding the "mare", and Lily trudges through the snow, frightening the horse.

  • Crew or equipment visible: After Meg Mucklebone bursts out of the water and says 'Foul tasting fairy!', you can see the rigging and harness supporting actor Robert Picardo along his pelvis and back.

  • Continuity: As Lily's sword cuts the unicorn's chain freeing it, Jack shoots his arrow at the Devil and you can see the arrow strike his neck on the left side. However in the next shot you see that Jack has not yet released his arrow.

  • Revealing mistakes: Before Jack and Darkness fight at the end, Darkness has Jack up against a wall, face to face. Shot from a side angle, you can see that the skin around Darkness' chin and lower jaw are not attached to his head indicating that the skin is synthetic rubber.

  • Continuity: In the first half of the movie, Lily's dress gets increasingly torn up with each scene, yet at the end when Jack tries to bring her out of the spell, she wears the same dress completely intact.
