The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

There is a scene in a railroad freight car with a strong implication of sex, and brief but intense kissing. But there is no nudity in the televised version. He later says "I gave you a baby tonight".

Violence & Gore

Several men gang up and beat up the Starman with their fists until scared off by a gunshot in the air.

Policemen pull upside the Starman's car and shoot at it with a shotgun, blowing out the passenger window and hitting Jenny Hayden. She is shown with blood on her face but no graphic injuries.

The Starman crashes his car into a capsized gas tanker truck causing a huge explosion.

Profanity

Jenny Hayden tells the Starman that she is tired of being scared and if he is going to shoot her, then do it now. He pulls out a pistol and holds it to her temple as if to shoot her, but then drops the magazine out of the gun.

The Starman starts as a newborn baby and goes through a very rapid metamorphosis to a full grown man. This might be intense for a child to watch.

The scene where the car plows into an overturned gas tanker causes a very intense explosion.
