Allmost all music in this movie was written by Evert Taube. Hasse and Tage wanted to use his music in order to give the movie a more Swedish touch. But they also asked him to write a new song for them. Tage explained the plot to Evert and mentioned that the land they were trying to rescue was called Änglamark (roughly translated to Angelland or Angeldomain). Taube liked the word and wrote the new song Änglamark which became the theme song of the movie.
While filming a tall, skinny man with glasses and a black mustache kept walking around the sets and getting into picture, ruining takes. Eventually director Tage Danielsson lost his temper and asked the man to leave. The whole cast and crew started laughing. It turned at that the annoying man was actor Martin Ljung and that it all was just a prank the crew played on Tage.
Hasse and Tage first got the idea for this movie while at a restaurant. They met a businessman who told them about his project Dennis-land. A theme park he wanted to build and he asked the two gentlemen if they wanted to promote the project. They didn't. In fact they disliked the idea of destroying the beautiful nature in order to build theme parks and decided to make a movie about it.
Some of the work titles for this movie were: Svenska Jord (Swedish Earth), Lindberg and Glad och Mytisk (Happy and Mythical).
