November 7 was the premiere event of the Tribeca Cinemas Kids Club series, and it was quite a hit! Gavin, one of our intrepid Tribeca Kids Access correspondents, was on hand at the afternoon screening of Mad Hot Ballroom, and he submitted his review of the film. Parents, do you have a budding cineaste on your hands? If so, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is on deck for November 21. Don't miss it! This is Gavin from Tribeca Kids Access. On Saturday, the seventh of November, I went to the Mad Hot Ballroom screening at Tribeca Cinemas Kids Club with my reporter colleague Margaret. Mad Hot Ballroom is a movie about sixty of New York City's public schools that compete every year in - you guessed it - ballroom dancing. This documentary focuses on three of these sixty schools: P.S. 150, P.S. 112 and P.S. 115. The director, Marilyn Agrelo, follows these kids …

Michael Sheen transforms into every character he plays. When it.s a real life historical figure like Tony Blair or David Frost, we can confirm exactly how accurate a job he did. The Twilight fans can probably cast even more scrutiny about Aro, the Volturi leader in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Michael Sheen Enjoys a New Moon
.It was from Stephenie in the book,. Sheen said. .She describes Aro as having a voice like feathers, so that made me think about what would it sound like if someone had a voice like feathers. Then, as I was starting to play around with it, I reminded myself a little bit of the Blue Meanie. You remember the Blue Meanie in Yellow Submarine and the hand that goes with it? Then I was also thinking about characters from when I was a kid watching stuff that really freaked me out and …

As most of you know, this weekend was the press junket for “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” here in Los Angeles. Since so many of the cast were in attendance, Summit Entertainment divided up the actors by who they played in the movie. Since Michael Sheen (Aro), Jamie Campbell Bower (Caius), Dakota Fanning (Jane), and Cameron Bright (Alec) played the Volturi in “New Moon”, it made sense they would share a press conference. So if you’d like to read or listen to what they had to say about their characters and being in “New Moon”, hit the jump.
As always, you can either read the transcript below or click here to listen to the audio. Finally, look for my one on one video interview with Michael Sheen in a few days. It was a great interview that you’ll really enjoy.

We caught up with all the members of the Volturi and got to talk to them about their new film New Moon. Those who participated in the interview are as follows; Michael Sheen (Aro), Jamie Campbell Bower (Caius), Dakota Fanning (Jane) and Cameron Bright (Alec).
The Twilight Saga: New Moon marks the first appearance of the Volturi, the closest the vampire world has to royalty and a major force in the future of the saga. Centuries old and unimaginably powerful, they serve as lawmakers and enforcers for the community. The leader of the group is Aro, played by Michael Sheen. Sheen is no stranger to this world, having played a werewolf enslaved by the vampires in the Underworld series.
Q: Dakota, as such a fan of the series, you’ve said in many interviews before that you were really excited about this so what were the highlights of playing Jane …

Producer Timur Bekmambetov, the Russian director behind Night Watch, Wanted, and 9, has released the trailer for his new film Black Lightning. While you probably won’t understand a word of the trailer unless you’re fluent in Russian, the visuals tell the story entirely: a boy gets a flying car and begins to fight crime and win the heart of his woman with it. Like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with sleeker visuals and heightened violence!
I’m quite honestly not sure what to think of this quite yet. Bekmambetov has described the film as “the Russian response to Transformers and Batman.” I’m not sure it comes across as anything but insane at the moment. The film is directed by Alexandr Voitinsky and Dmitriy Kiselev. Check out the trailer below!

Michael Sheen partly based his Twilight sequel vampire king character on the dastardly child catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
The Brit, who has mastered the voices of Tony Blair, David Frost and soccer icon Brian Clough for movies, admits he read Stephenie Meyer's books for clues about how his character, Aro, should sound in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
He tells WENN, "Stephanie wrote something in the book that his voice sounded like feathers, and that was the thing that stuck with me - the idea of someone who sounds very soft and charming and nice and kind, but underneath he’s a psychotic killer.
"It reminded me of the child capturer a little bit in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang or the Blue Meanie in (Beatles film) Yellow Submarine, who has a very soft voice but (he's) completely insane, so there’s a little bit of that in Arrow as well." …

Looks like Eon Productions are aiming to "diversify their portfolio" a little bit in the near future, by producing something other than a James Bond film. However, that's not to say they're straying very far from familiar territory either. Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are teaming up with Sony for an adaptation of Mark Burnell's upcoming novel Remote Control, which centers on (surprise, surprise) a British intelligence agent "who goes on the run with a former lover when he gets caught up in a conspiracy to destabilize the Chinese economy". Burnell has previously written a number of other espionage-steeped thrillers including The Rhythm Section, which was optioned by New Line in 2005 but currently remains unproduced. In addition, The Hollywood Reporter [1] mentions in passing that they are also working on a remake of the 1968 family musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which follows the adventures of a family and their magical flying car. …

Barbara BroccoliBy Lee Pfeiffer
For the first time since Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in 1968, the James Bond producers will be developing a new non-007 film property. Sony will team with Eon producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli to bring the forthcoming thriller Remote Control to the screen. The book by Mark Burnell centers on a British corporate intelligence analyst who uncovers a plot to undermine the Chinese economy. The premise certainly goes against the grain of popular opinion, given China's tendency to manipulate its currency to undermine other nation's currencies. Although Barbara Broccoli personally produced the acclaimed 1990s TV movie Crime of the Century, this marks the first non-Bond project she is teaming on with Wilson since they took control of the 007 franchise from their father Cubby Broccoli in 1994. Eon also has a long-rumored remake of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang planned for the big screen. That 1968 pic was the …
