Police Constable : Inspector, there were two bodies found, one was Mr Linton, the other identified as Mrs Stockley from the village.
Police Inspector : Mrs Linton, do you know Mrs Stockley ?
[Jean nods]
Police Inspector : However did the fire start, it must have been lightening.
Jean Linton : [nods in agreement, knowingly] Lightening, yes, lightening.

Jean Linton : [confronting her husband's mistress] Mrs Stockley, I've come for my property, my stolen property.
Valerie Stockley : [casually] If you are referring to your husband he isn't here.
Jean Linton : No I'm not referring to him, but the twenty pounds he stole from me to give to you. I've read your letter asking him for the money.
Jean Linton : [pauses, as Valerie looks stunned] My husband doesn't have a penny to his name . All he eats, drinks and spends comes from me.
Jean Linton : If you had wanted the money so badly, you should have gone out to earn it.
[pauses, looks Valerie up and down]
Jean Linton : You look the type.
Jean Linton : You can keep my husband, and the twenty pounds. I'm finished with keeping him, you can support him from now on.
[leaves through the front door, Valerie looks stunned]
