Stage and soap star Beverlee McKinsey has died due to complications after a kidney transplant. She was 72.
The actress made her mark on Broadway and in London's West End in the 1960s, playing roles in Barefoot In The Park and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? respectively.
But she's perhaps best known for playing scheming villain Iris Carrington in U.S. soap Another World.
McKinsey, who was married three times, also played Alex Spaulding in another hit soap, Guiding Light from 1984 to 1992, when she suddenly quit the show, citing long hours and the need to live a normal life.
