After finally abandoning his canes and braces, Cmdr. Talbot, on the first Test Mission, has toured the submarine and tells the Admiral "it's good to walk through the ship again, Sir". A submariner would not have referred to a submarine as a "ship", rather, he would have called her "the boat".
